Hi all,

I need to burn many non-copyright 30min-1hour videos (mp4) to DVD's with simple menus. Over the past several months I have been looking into solutions on Windows, Linux and Mac.

It seems to me that at this point, that my minimal requirements are met by iDVD on Mac. Other applications such as DVD Flick and DeVeDe have been the best free programs I have found on Windows and Linux respectively. However, there has been one major flaw in both: they render jerky playback on arbitrary parts of the DVD. This is a well known and common problem related (apparently) to the pull-down ratio.

I friend with a Mac burned one of my mp4's to a DVD--and I was very impressed. Excellent menu and smooth playback.

What do you guys say about iDVD? Can you recommend it? Is there anything else I should go for?

Just one problem with iDVD: It only allowed one 1h17min video on a whole DVD--whereas DeVeDe allowed that particular video along with two other 1h videos on one DVD. How does one accomplish this with iDVD?

Thanks!
David
