eBucks changes infuriate FNB clients

I can understand the requirement that you should swipe more than you draw cash, as cash is expensive for banks. It is a manual process, needs security, etc.

However, forcing you to check the "please spam the heck out of me whenever you want to" is such an epic fail.

Typical "big bank" thinking.

/me loves my new Capitec chip card

If you're not happy with something that's free, don't use it?

It isnt free, you have to pay a fee to qualify.
Im pretty annoyed with it because you have to spend more on your cheque card than you withdraw from the account each month. I dont withdraw too much but I also dont use my cheque card, why would I if I have a credit card?
Starting to get annoyed with FNB after having punted them for a long time.

Are you sure your CC purchases don't qualify?

Easy enough. Switch banks.
That's how you your displeasure to them

Mine do - I just bought a gopro hero2 with ebucks :p And I only earn then on my cc... its actually the only reason I have a FNB credit card.

since opening the accounts in August last year, I've earned zero ebucks on my cheque account.

This new domestic SLOW airport lounge rule is also a bit cr@ppy, especially as they still punt it as a benefit. Except that you have to swipe for R5000 in that month in order to qualify for entry (before June there was no requirement)

Say yes, set up an auto delete rule :-)

Oh good luck, you can do this, and if you are lucky enough not to have them crash your PC with their spam, wait till you see the sms'es. I received 7 sms'es (different ones) in one day at it's worst at all hours of the day.

Where's an FNB rep when we need one ...

At least Steve will have something to punt to his phone customers this month :)
