El Capitan OS X

Weird things happening with utorrent since installing El Capitan. Application wouldn't open, magnetic links won't work, even downloading the torrent file won't work either.

Uninstalled and reinstalled and now I can open a window using the latest rev, but still no luck adding a torrent to the list. I can't even open the utorrent forum to see what's cooking either :wtf:

Anyone else having a prob?

edit: MBAir 13" mid 2013 btw

Check under Settings --> Security if GateKeeper isn't preventing it from opening. Also click on the FireWall tab, advance button to allow incoming / outcoming for uTorrent

Its all looking good.

I've meantime uninstalled utorrent and have installed Deluge in the meantime. That's working fine.

I got onto the utorrent forum and there's a few posts with people saying utorrent won't open also.

Transmission. You can thank me later.

Been on it for a few months. Been running the Beta test from public launch for beta.

Have one MacBook Air that I need to try and get on MacOS X 10.11, but stopped the download after 180 MB (2 hours)

Mine is a MB Air late 2013 and one I need to install is a brand new MB Air late 2015

With Yosemite there was an issue that if you had things like texlive or homebrew installed in /usr/local installation would literally take days. Anything like that with this one?

I need my mac this weekend. Maybe I'll just wait for .1 upgrade.

Installed El Capitan yesterday on my Mac by mistake. I wanted to install it on a MacBook Air that started showing kernel panics Astro said OS was installed. Ended up having to create a bootable in terminal. 2 Macs running El Capitan. Oh well, my uTorrent works just fine. As for Office I'm still using 2011

rMBP upgraded...

found a bug - cursor randomly going huge. I think this has some entertainment value and wakes me up a bit whilst working.

All working fine other wise. winbox still works = I am happy.

Loving new notes app though! Havent seen this 1.4x performance gain yet.

Thats not a bug, its a feature. Can be disabled.

System Prefs / Accessibility / Display / Uncheck "Shake mouse pointer to locate"

lol but why would this be enabled. it is funny. going to keep it on just for the laugh

So you can find your cursor location..
Ever jiggled the mouse or trackpad to find where the cursor is? Now it will make the pointer larger when you do that (although on mine its a little flaky - sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not).

I decided to take the plunge.

Started downloading. Download estimate is varying between 4 -5 hours.

I should have started earlier. :(

Seems there are issues with steam as well, guess I'll wait a while.

Amazing new OS, every aspect and addition. The most advanced yet.

I'm seeing more like a 1.5x+ speed increase.

1.5X speed increase in what?

Most noticeably in Finder when it comes to running multiple tabs and general navigation and moving of data. Interchanging between multiple Word docs and regularly working on and saving them, as well as using multiple large spreadsheets with Excel. Scrolling websites is also smoother in Chrome.

Upgraded now. Also browser speed is much faster switching tabs opening new tabs. It was like the previous OS had a delay built in it.

Pinned sites and the mute functionality for audio being played in Safari.

Swipe gestures for mail, really love that when mail is open in full screen mode, when composing more that one email they are tabs to navigate between each email. Kinda like how Safari operates when you open a new tab.

Disk utility on the other hand is colourful and confusing I must add.
