England tour to SA: 2015

How has the pitch been plying, is this English nerves or is there suddenly something there for the bowlers?

Bowlers have been getting the ball to move today. No demons in the pitch, it's playing pretty much the same as it has been...

Ok, so let's say this match ends in a draw. What changes should SA be looking at for the next match?

I'm thinking Morris hasn't proved to be a strike bowler on the international stage. I guess Steyn set that bar pretty high. What about giving Hardus Viljoen a chance? Yes Morris can bat, but what SA really need is a decent strike bowler.

So. in theory if we go in with 20 overs left and our score is less than 263, it can be achieved.
this is not based on math but based on the highest T20 score.

so, we get them all out, or they declare for under 200, and with more than 20 overs left, there is still a game on.
the protea fire is burning on that field, AB can walk out there and decide to win the game by just simply playing like it is t20.

it is no impossible, but I still feel like the result will be a draw.

after the first two of this test today has been amazing.

Well for one, there are no T20 fielding restrictions in a test match. That will hamper the run chase for sure!

I wouldn't change a successful team to be honest. Maybe if Steyn or Philander are fit then Morris must make way for Steyn or Rabada must make way for Philander. Other than that the only change I would go for is Cook in for Stiaan...

And now it's apparently started to rain on/around/near Newlands. All looking very gloomy

I'm actually quite ok with that. I will rather travel North 1-0 down than 2-0. I cant see us winning anyway, and we have a better chance of losing.

Didn't watch any of the cricket today till now...was running around, last day of leave.

That ball Morris bowled to Root...wow. If he can do that more often, he will be a strike bowler.

I almost think he's done enough to retain his place in the starting XI. I don't remember when last I've seen such spectacular slip catching. Cannot emphasis enough the value of good hands in the slip cordon. Hell, if England had held onto theirs this would have been another test match over in 3 or 4 days. Unreal if you analysis it.
