After a long period of stable 4 Mbps connectivity on the 10Mbps-enabled Bryanston exchange, recently I'm seeing erratic ping times to international sites of between 250ms (normal) and 1000ms, with packet loss and occasional brief disconnects.
This is particularly noticeable in the early evening - which makes me wonder about contention ratios and all that.
My noise margin under these conditions is around 15dB, so no problem there.

Speed tests give downloads at about 1Mbps, and uploads at 125kbps. Contention again?

Anyone else experiencing similar issues, or is it just me?

I live down the road from the Mandeville exchange. Working fine for me. Ping local 9ms, uk 185ms, us 295ms. Full download speeds

Power cycled the router, got immediate improvements in ping (sub 200ms intl) and speed (380kbps up). I saw this before. Still don't know if it's the router or the network. Either way, I realise I posted in the wrong forum - sorry about that!
