Well i put inglorious basterds on last night and it really looked great on my 42"
 
Damnit, the files i couldn't find where .mkv :(

So now how else can i watch HighDef on my player, what should i convert the .mkv to ?

Wait for the Pro version and then you can sell me the Lite version for cheap cheap :D

A work colleague picked up 1 of these units from Esquire, can't stop raving about it. Think I'll get 1 end of this month.

Has the firmware upgrades resolved all the previous issues?
 
I bought one of these last week. The player works well and everything, the only annoying thing is that the remote control has some functions that have the same signal as my TV remote. So for instance, if I try and fast forward something, my TV gets turned off and if I turn the volume down using my TV remote the player's volume goes up.

Luckily the play and stop button don't have any interference :P

venom, i would definitely go for it, last night i watched some music videos and 2 movies and i must say it is well worth the price

Hey, Esquire - I need some help.

I bought 2 of these along with a 750gb drive for each in December. I believe they could be awesome if I am able to sort out a few issues.

What is the maximum capacity partition I should create on the drive? And how many folders deep can it access. A.T.M. when I start up the unit connected to my TV, sometimes nothing happens, and sometimes it gets to the menu screen but states that there's no files on. What can I do to make it go like a boeing? Might a firmware update do the trick? Which firmware (link, please). Its for ProVio lite PVL328H.

Also, how much does the Mede8or sell for? (PM me if you'd like).

What firmware version are you on? You can see on the bottom right of the screen

Also you cannot go more than 3 levels deep and do not put too many files in one folder, i keep it to about 20GB folder for now

On my 1TB there is some delay, but i think its because i do have more than 3 levels of folder nesting
 
I'll check out the firmware version tonight at home.

Do you use the whole 1 TB? How much of it do you have used at the moment?
 
hi

i just bought a privio lite and when i first plugged it into my lcd via hd cable it said searching and then the main screen came up saying movies,music etc.The next time I plugged it in it said searching... and it just displays this for an unlimited time. does anyone have an idea of what is wrong?
 
Is there perhaps a way of doing a kind of master reset that I should try?

Hi
The problem is to get the latest firmware it says download to a flash,plug into a tv and then go to data menu and install etc.

My problem is that I cant get to data menu because like I say when I plug it into tv it says searching... and thats all it ever does,it doesnt go to the main menu screen so I am unable to do the upgrade?

You need to open the box and unplug the drive, then do the firmware update
