External usb sound card

Hi,

Anyone with an idea who would have stock of a 5.1/7.1 external sound card locally? I can not seem to find anyone in SA with stock of the below or something similar.

Something like this
Asus Xonar u5
Creative Sound blaster Omni 5.1
Creative sound blaster xf-i pro

Did you contact wootware for availability of the cards they have on offer..? It may be that, they don't keep stock on hand because it's not a big enough seller, so they order on demand..

I bought one of these about a year ago, figured if it didn't work it was a minor loss. Surprisingly, it's still working perfectly, I use it for hours daily. Maybe not audiophile quality but I'm pretty finicky with audio and it does the job for me.

I haven't tested the SPDIF ports. Runs on Windows 10, no third-party drivers needed.

I can also recommend installing Equalizer APO with the Peace GUI, then you'll have absolute control.

Apart from the equalizer function, which is almost infinitely customizable, you can use it with the sound card as an active crossover....
