The biggest problem is which black players would you bring into the team? I'm a firm believer that the best players should be picked, whether they are all black or all white.
Look at a player like Oupa Mohoje. He clearly doesn't belong there. They tried and tried but he just isn't Springbok quality.
So lets go through the team.
At props we've got Beast and Nyakane. Both are good and belong there. Are there any other good black players that can come in as prop? Not that I can think of.
At hooker we've got du Plessis, Strauss and Brits. At WP we've got two good black hookers but in my opinion they aren't as good as the three already mentioned.
I can't think of any good black locks unfortunately.
At loose forward we are truly blessed in South Africa. Mohoje in my opinion is just not good enough. Kolisi makes a good impact player but even then you leave Kriel at home who is tons better.
And will get to the backs later, unfortunately have to leave now.
I want their (PdV, HM, and JW) stats against all countries, as well as the number of cups won. At least I know their WC and u/21 stats, for PdV and JW. So you have them? I tried bing, and nothing up. So I don't know the answer.
He's useless drunk.
And EVERYONE knows he achieved what he did with JW's team. He did nothing special, or dare I say nothing at all![]()
My money is on the All Blacks! Put Tony Eirenreich as hooker in the SA team!
Jake Whites team ? Strange how Jake never beat the ABS away with the same team and at a time when the like of Bakkies, Matfield, Habana, Smit and burger to mention a few was at their peaks.

I'm getting a feeling that Frans really wants to be part of the squad, the coach really wants him to be part of the squad, but he's still second-guessing whether SARU will be bull****ting him again like last year - what it looks like to me anyway. I could be way off.
What happened with Frans Steyn and SARU last year that led to him being dropped or quitting?
Well done, COSATU.
10/10 for incitement.
As of right now (following the win over Argentina);
de Villiers - Played 48, Won 30, Lost 18 (62.5%)
de Villiers vs the All Blacks - Played 11, Won 5, Lost 6 (45.5%)
de Villiers vs the Wallabies - Played 12, Won 4, Lost 8 (33.3%)
* Lifted the 2009 Tri-Nations Cup and beat the British & Irish Lions
Meyer - Played 41, Won 27, Lost 12, Drew 2 (65.85%)
Meyer vs the All Blacks - Played 7, Won 1, Lost 5 (14%)
Meyer vs the Wallabies - Played 7, Won 4, Lost 3 (57%)
Meyer hasn't had a chance to coach against the B&I Lions, so that cannot really be used as a +1 for Divvy. Divvy had more success against the best team in the world but had some rather pathetic results against lesser opposition (no disrespect to the Scots, but we shouldn't be losing to a second tier NH side). However, Meyer hit bottom recently when we lost to Argentina.
In my opinion there isn't much between them and neither have been much to talk about. One plus is that Meyer hasn't dragged us through the mud when he gets in front of the press.
I made this thread a couple days ago,
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/755070-Your-2015-Rugby-World-Cup-dream-team
, it started with a discussion at my local rugby club. The black players (7/31 - 23%) that I had included in my squad are,
Backs (5/13 - 38%):
Zane Kirchner, Bryan Habana, Lwazi Mvovo, Lionel Mapoe, Damian de Allende
Forwards (2/18 - 11%):
Trevor Nyakane, Beast Mtawarira
My 1st selection include 6 black players (26%) with 5 (33%) in the starting lineup.
I picked this team on merit and strategy, and by reading my thread you will understand why I picked certain players. This team will be criticised in SA as I had excluded black loosies, and a captain ().
Damian de Allende... black?![]()
Damian de Allende... black?![]()
Hehe, he might look a bit coloured since he's from the Cape. But he's white as they come![]()
Besides all of this, he is also a valuable commodity in the South African context in that he is a player of colour with parents of mixed descent. I had to mention this because many people are still in the dark (excuse the pun) about his race.
Their starting XV will include four coloured players (Cornal Hendricks, Damian de Allende, Bryan Habana and Gurthrö Steenkamp), while the remaining 11 are white. Two (Tendai Mtawarira and Lwazi Mvovo) of the eight players on the bench are black.

Damian is coloured if I remember correctly, not that it should matter
Hit me with a hard loaf...
I would never have thought. See Rugby supporters don't see colour, just skill![]()
Well, I never knew Gurthro was coloured as well until he almost left to play in Europe.
