Hi

Serious thread please.

As an ADSL subscriber do you use the telkom voice service? Do you pay the bundled line rental purely so you can access ADSL and not use POTS at all?

If so please post your location (city / town etc) + your line speed.

Edit: Please only post in this thread if you do not use the voice service.

Ditto. 2 ADSL lines, neither have a phone connected. Separate ISDN lines connected to the PABX, Johannesburg

I have three lines. Two at work and one at home. None use the voice service

Town: East London, 2x 512kb & 1x 384kb

No telephones are attached to any of these lines.

ADSL 4096 at work no voice service. Roodepoort

ADSL 384 at my flat no voice - don't even know my home number. Roodepoort
ADSL 384 at my parents home no voice. Cape Town

Hi Dominic,

I too wish to be naked at the office ... but my wife won't let me at home.

But seriously, we can dream of day when LLU and geonum portability is the norm here.
