Hi Guys

Im not new to mybroadband, come here for all sorts of suggetions, right now my area (Raisthorpe, PMB) just completed the installation of fibre, its live and the provider is Zoom, they are offerin g a choice of three Service providers to choose from (Accelerit, Tech5, Mind the Speed) none of which I have heard before. Line speed isnt of much concern as its mainly used for gaming, BR's and FPS, im currently on a telkom LTE and i get pretty decent latency, All three are pretty close in terms of pricing at around 1k for 100/100 but Mind the speed has an installation fee of around R1700 vs free installation and router through the others. Not so worried about the router since i know its locked and ill probably use my own.

Help needed here, anyone have any experience with these guys? mainly along the lines of server latency? if im paying for 100/00mb line pretty sure i'd receive that but cant find any information regarding their Gaming services.

Thanks guys much appreciated.

I am on mind the speed on vumatel and have no issues, speed is great very low latency , never had ISP down time .
on the router if you do not want to use their default one, mind the speed do offer to pay a portion towards any router of your choice (if they can source it) (their is a clawback if you take their router or subsidy)

Thanks man, also heard good things about mind the speed, i do have a router with a WAN port so ill probably just use my own. The only thing im concerned about is the upfront installation fee with MTS.

If i remember correctly MTS use Network Platforms, you can check out Network Platforms looking glass to test pings here:

Things might not be 100% depending on how MTS have their network setup etc.

Thank you, do you know if the other two (Accelerit and tech5) use Network platforms as well?

Accelerit seem to use Seacom

Tech5 looks to be Seacom and Liquid Telecom

Mind The Speed

Thank you @CrypticZA, Im not that knowlegable when it comes to the data on those website, but just at a glance what would you recommend between accelerit and tech5? Sorry to bother you, but google doesnt seem to give me any clear indication for gaming on those 2 providers

We’re live on Zoom Fibre as well. I’ve spoken to our commercial team- packages should be loaded up on our site by this afternoon. Will update as soon as they are

That sounds amazing, can i ask you about the packages you offer as well as the performance for gaming? is there any sign up fee for installation?

I don't generally like to recommend ISP's because in the past people came back to me and pointed fingers, i have been on WebSquads network about a year ago when i was looking to change and it was pretty solid, my gaming pings were more or less the same for all my games as Cool Ideas (current ISP for 2 years).

Reason i chose not to move at the time was the bill payer did not want to move, they were the only ISP who went out their way to accommodate me wanting to try out a new network, provided me with VPN access to their network for a few days. :)

Don't know much about Accelerit or Tech5 so don't like to comment on what is foreign.

Thank you for the info, I'll check out websquad

@AcceleritZa any help here? I had opted for you guys in the first place, even have the first invoice for the setup and router waiting for payment but cant seem to find any information regarding latency or reliability when it comes to online gaming.

Stay away from accelerit. My friend is stuck with them as they deployed fibre for the complex. This ISP has constant disconnects and speed issues. Check Hello Peter for more proof.
