Yes it is. The DA always does far better in Municipal Elections than it does in Provincial and National Elections

Correct me if im wrong but i dont think taking votes from municipal elections is accurate for national elections?

After that there was a lot of distrust from the coloured community of the ANC. They felt left out when the ANC was in charge there. This is why the ANC have since been trying to always install a coloured province chairman to try and claw that back. Too late though, the DA came in and have done well. If the DA win over the black communities then the WC is their to keep.

It's still early days. DA is going to lose far more share by the end of the day.
 
O and Agang with .2% of the votes. May that Mamparra go kill herself. If she joined the DA things might have been different.

Yeah, i've been watching it and in about the last 45 minutes its gone from 23.77% - 23.63% - 23.56%

Black people also stay away from the polls in large numbers. If the other races actually all voted, the DA would approach 40% (assuming they get those votes) and win another province or two and show what they can do. That's what's needed to turn the tide. May be the can do it with local elections, but then those elections have a very low voter turnout.

Well I guess it's a safe bet to say that the e-tolls are now here to stay....

I don't usually let things like this get to me (I mostly try to be optimistic) but for the first time in my life I feel like there is just no light at the end of the tunnel anymore.

The way I'm feeling right now is I must either move to the WC or get out of SA...why continue to stay in a place where there's just no hope in the foreseeable future for positive change.

Always happens... DA areas get the votes in early. Then come the masses of ANC sheep votes from the townships are rural areas.

yip, but good luck telling the minorities that. I know far to many people who just didn't bother to vote. I drove all the way from Mafikeng yesterday to cast my vote (so that I don't spoil my provincial vote).

Except it looks like most of the densest urban areas are still outstanding in the results.

Gauteng results are meaningless at the moment. Only about 12% of votes have been counted.

I haven't paid a dime for e-tolls, so that's going to be interesting >:(
