Then why do you think ANC is losing so many votes?
 
On a side note, there were quite a lot of troll posters put up in and around Melville about voting for the D.R.O.L party lol

At the end of the day I think the EFF will take about 2-5% of the ANC's votes, similar to what COPE did in the previous elections.

Hoping the DA gets more though :P

That's probably because all of the protesters didn't vote - the ones that did were ANC supporters. Bad Voter education strikes again!
 
It really depresses me how many people vote for the ANC, and by extension how ignorant our population is. With the way things are in this country, your vote should be based purely around avoiding a one party state.
 
I find it hard to believe actually that people can be so thick to still vote ANC.
 
Im personally surprised that most people here are surprised and disappointed, what were their realistic expectations?
 
My voting station still hasn't been counted...another 4000 votes for the DA coming their way! :)

Guys also remember Gauteng has a disproportionate effect on the overall outcome...still huge numbers to come in.
 
There are still no votes included in the totals from Johannesburg, Bloemfontein or Durban Metros. Don't really know why this is. Other results seems to have been arriving randomly from all around the country.

Yeah.. there are some big metro's still to report, which could shift things quite substantially (unsure of the direction yet though)

What are the chances that Zille will call it a day not long after the results are finalized? With all the pre-election work, effort and money she and her team have put in I can imagine she'll be pretty despondent. How can you do so much and have so little impact.

Why? These numbers are pretty great for the DA. They are very close what was predicted
 
I still believe that there was possible tampering with the voting process, there are also news reports on this. It will be a great shame should the IEC be in cahoots with the ANC. I only want to know how the IEC is going to address the discrepancies, the only thing they are doing is stating that everything was in order.
