First election results in

Look at my impromptu list of ANC failtures. Zuma is just one of them and then there is the fact that the ANC put a thing like that at the helm in the first place.

The ironic thing is the "majority" that continue to vote ANC will continue to live in squalor whilst the connected few livin la vida loca.

It makes no logical sense why someone would continue to support such a corrupt party. Thus, we must remove all logical thinking from the equation and we are left with emotion. Something which is difficult to overcome and sway voters. Zuma and the ANC could, literally do what they like and they will always come out on top. We're seeing the real effects of pre-1994 era and I think it has some more damage to dish out still before the wounds heal up. (If they ever do.)

What's with the outrage? You haven't actually said why the DA is better ruling there than the ANC only raging. He is just doing the same :wtf:
If you cannot see that the WC is the best governed province in SA then I'm not going to waste my time explaining it either.

I am not asking you to explain anything to me, explain to pboy why? I don't live in the WC so I don't know, the only places I have been to there are urban areas.

:wtf: I mean Zuma is boo'd at whenever he speaks by his own people they still vote for him.
Like ANC deputy president Ramaphosa said recently, the dissatisfaction is isolated but just gets highlighted.

Unfortunately so true

Is there hope?

In the media leading up to the election I thought I picked up a sense of frustration with the ANC. I expected ANC to lose far more share than it looks like they will. Although I've love for more people to vote DA (reasons can be discusses in another thread) they could have voted for whoever else they like. NOPE

Cope and Agang seem to be failing miserably as well.

I'm loosing all hope of SA ever coming right and think we will go the same way Zim has gone.

I'm not getting into that debate, I'd just prefer to be governed by the DA as opposed to the ANC, judging by how they're fscking up this country.

I am truly disappointed in the majority South Africans. The last few years have been the toughest since the end of Apartheid with an endless list of ANC failures (Zuma being the biggest, economy going downhill, endless strikes, job losses, Marikana, blatant corruption, e-toll ...) but yet people still vote ANC :wtf: I mean Zuma is boo'd at whenever he speaks by his own people they still vote for him.

That's the question I've been asking myself for the past two years. Will things change? Only if the people want change and sadly, this does not seem to be the case. So call me a wimp but why stay on and try and make a change if the people do not want a change?

9:57 - Seems the ANC has WON in all the wards in Bekkersdal, SABC reporter Chriselda Lewis says.

If only people understood that no-one will bring back the pre-1994 situation the outcome would have been different. But the cancer takes advantage of that and makes people vote based on emotions and not logical sense. All we needed was at least to dilute and neutralise anc s grip on power but no the sheep just don't understand how this whole process works and affects them
