First election results in

The one thing I am noticing, is that quite a number of the big municipalities have yet to report... this could get interesting.

There are idiots, especially in a place like Orania.

I am actually more surprised by the number of DA votes. :wtf:

When I look at these results, I am proud to be a citizen on the WC...

According to the N24 app City of Joburg have submitted no results yet. Lots of votes to be counted still.

Ohh save us from this cancer, we cannot afford them for another 5

I reckon that Tshwane might swing from the DA.

With over 50% of the votes counted for Tshwane, I think DA might just take it. If they do, that's progress in my eyes and I am happy with that. WC is going to stay DA - they have increased their growth massively in that province.

It would have been really nice to see the ANC lose another province but it looks like a pipe dream that.

It will mean that they have two municipalities in Gauteng. The DA can also get PE through coalition (with the current results).

I don't get why they have such a strong hold on the Northern Cape, given the demographics.

They've counted 50% of the votes in Tshwane so far? really?

Which will be some very good progress as far as I am conceded. I am a little disappointed that we have not seen a bigger growth of them in rural areas. However, that is to be expected with the mindset there I guess.
