I wonder what the shaping etc will be like, hopefully it will be in line with their capped products.

I saw somewhere that the maximum subsidy allowed is R399

Using mweb uncapped premium as a guideline with 80% discount on a Gold account you should be able to get 1mb for R341.74/m and 2mb for R493.08/m. (All Line cost included)

I wonder if they'll have 20Mbit :o

Otherwise I may just get a capped account until uncapped catches up.
 
Really bad from FNB though, I was actually looking forward to 1 July, hoping I could get the a faster account.
 
That R199 with a 100% discount sounds pretty good. Even better would be the 2Mbps product at a 100% discount. Should likely be able to go from 1 to 2Mbps and still end up paying less overall.

My next question would be does the discount cover only the data portion of the cost or also the Telkom ADSL line rental i.e. with a 100% discount would that only cover the data or data + line rental? Guess only time will tell.

I'm pretty sure it will only cover the data portion
 
If that is the case then you could get a 2Mbps account and only have to pay the R299 for the line rental. Pretty good deal considering my 1Mbps bundle costs R339 with MWeb.
