I think its not exactly that.
For example, to get the R50/month discount on your mobile device, you need to spend a certain amount on your credit card, but the saving goes down on your cheque account.
Also, your CC and Cheque account gets different reward points. Ebucks discount for example use which ever one is the highest, but the fnb uncapped only looks at the cheque account points.
So its a tricky situation if you want to make use of all the benefits. IMHO, you need to spend on your Credit Card for both Petro and Goods (Petro cant be more than 20% of total when goods included, else you dont get all the ebucks on the petrol you can) to get the mobile device saving, and on your cheque account you need to do everything else other than spending, and then spending just enough to get the 300 points for the overdraft. Well, that is if you want to min/max all the benefits at least, if you want to go for only specific benefits like the uncapped, then go ahead and only do the cheque account, but I want my R50/month discount too.
Is it even worth having a petrol card anymore? most places accept credit cards now, I thought the ebucks were only if you used a petrol card.
I dont want to have to use one card at certain times and then the other the rest of the time. They really are making it complicated!
