FNB duplicate transaction problem - what to do

I'm sure FNB will sort it out... patience guys, patience.
I've never had any issues with FNB, complain to the right person or go into the branch and bam, they sort it out.
And that's not me just saying I've had 1 or 2 issues, I've had many and all get sorted.

Yes, why should clients now jump around?

This is just BS!

This bank is full of siht! They are playing around with messaging apps, photo sharing apps, selling cellphones and laptops, instead of focusing on their core banking functions.

Just applied to move my business accounts to Nedbank. Will still decide about my 4 private accounts.

I've just seen two transactions were duplicated. One small one to the spar and the other a transfer between two accounts. Oddly enough the transferred money isn't in my other account.

Fu**! now I can't even log into my account - just get an error when trying to log in - wrong password / username - stupid idiots!

How do you expect them to fix the error? They are scratching around everywhere now.

haha

the panic attacks all around are pretty funny

i'm also an fnb customer but i dont really care, it'll be sorted soon

I can see a problem with people who can't access their funds because they're suddenly overdrawn. I remember days before Christmas a few years ago that all my money disappeared from my account due to a similar system glitch in the UK and it pretty much ruined the holiday mood.

Oh they'll have. I'm really curious *how* they are going to do so though. These aren't bank internal transfers that can just be reversed...

I rate they're going to have to negotiate deals with all the other banks behind the scene.

Also...why the f does it have to be Saturday today....JSE closed. Wouldn't have minded buying some FNB.

fair enough

Imagine the queues of bleak people at FNB branches this morning! I would hate to be an FNB employee today.

internet banking seems to be down.

"Service Unavailable

The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

If I was overdrawn as a result of this I would be entitled to throw a pretty big *****fit. I would imagine fixing this is not going to be as simple as clicking an undo button.

Believe it or not, but your image may actually just be right! For some people.

When I saw the problem this morning I rushed to an ATM and grabbed what I could.

Now that online banking is down, card probably can't be used, I will be okay.

Wonder about the many people who thought they still had a bit of money left and now unable to buy food today.... or for that matter as long as it is going to take FNB to sort this out. People with sick children that needs to go to hospital and payments that need be made, people needing to buy medicine for sick family members...

Yes, it may actually be the end of times for some people.
