!!! Ford Figo cooling problems !!!

You may have to go to Ford and get OEM hey.

Fingers crossed for you on this, does it overheat? I think it's best you park it until you can figure out what the issue is and get it sorted.
Check to see if the car is circulating water, you can have a feel on the lower and upper radiator hoses, I think if the upper hose is cold then there is a problem, stuck closed thermostat, recently saw a fiesta that had a blocked coolant return pipe - caused some headaches for the owner.
Really hope it's not a head gasket thing.

I bought it from Goldwagen. The gasket is all intact. My water pump started leaking. When opened I bought all brand new including head gasket. New valves the whole 9 yards. Except the bottle and cap. The bottle looked brittle so I bought new one with cap. But the thermostat is still fine.

Hi guys,
My son is having the exact same issue with his Figo....
Cap keeps blowing off, stripping the threads along with it.
New bottle and cap... Same thing. Happened 4 times now and we still cannot locate the issue.

Water pump replaced. Thermostat replaced. Still same.

This car is really cursed!

Fan working? Is the coolant not overfilled or boiling?

Could i have a spare water cap please?

Yup. Fan works, light works... Still gets hot and pops!

As for the spare caps... Like I said they are useless cause when it blows it takes the threads with it.Old cap won't tighten on new bottle and visa versa...

This issue is driving us nuts!
I recon this car may be cremated soon!

There is only one solution

eish... maybe you should have just gone with a smashed car replacement motor..

a very wierd situation man.. no idea.

@FiestaST ????? heeelllppp

Have you checked theres no hose clamps that slipped down and blocked any hoses?

Yea, all checked....

I am convinced that it's headgasket related.Could be exhaust blowing into the water system causing the extra pressure....

But we trying to find someone who can confirm this for as little cash as possible....

This resolve most ford problems.

A simple compression test should add a bit of light here, if one of the cylinders leak then it can be that its leaking into the cooling system, or could be the valves.

What have the valves do do with an over pressure cooling system?

He suggested that perhaps pressure is leaking from the combustion chamber into the coolant channels in the block. Now to test this one can do what is known as a compression test whereby you measure how much compression each individual combustion chamber can hold to a manufactured specified range (usually performed if valves or gaskets are believed to be leaking. Should his theory ring true he would have a low and or progressively lower reading from this test as pressure would be lost to the cooling system.

Maak sin?
