Where did you buy it? It looks like the quality is not right, as was suggested ask Ford, sometimes the parts are mot as expensive as we think, it is you can still get a better aftermarket one.No, I bought it together
Hi guys,
My son is having the exact same issue with his Figo....
Cap keeps blowing off, stripping the threads along with it.
New bottle and cap... Same thing. Happened 4 times now and we still cannot locate the issue.
Water pump replaced. Thermostat replaced. Still same.
This car is really cursed!

Yup. Fan works, light works... Still gets hot and pops!
As for the spare caps... Like I said they are useless cause when it blows it takes the threads with it.Old cap won't tighten on new bottle and visa versa...
This issue is driving us nuts!
I recon this car may be cremated soon!
Maybe one of the lines are blocked?
when was she last serviced?
Have you checked theres no hose clamps that slipped down and blocked any hoses?
Yea, all checked....
I am convinced that it's headgasket related.Could be exhaust blowing into the water system causing the extra pressure....
But we trying to find someone who can confirm this for as little cash as possible....

A simple compression test should add a bit of light here, if one of the cylinders leak then it can be that its leaking into the cooling system, or could be the valves.
What have the valves do do with an over pressure cooling system?
