So Dorris , this kid went out and got a tester , after the little antennae issue.

Guess what .......................nothing

i am really becoming peeved.
Fourways and Lonehill are in need of signal.

what about sentech piggybacking on Vodacoms base stations ?

They have a dispute over regulation and license as technically they share similar frequencies and "3G" with Voice over Ip could eat into celluar providers profits.

okay since we are so good on Consortiums cant we get one base station carrier who then leases out placement.

environmental impact studies would agree with me. i know that service providers competet in terms of network coverage , but consolidation in this field would benefit all.

The main purpose behind this would be to beat By law constarints as the cell phone providers already have these in the bag.

Ok , so the signal distribution between gsm and braodband may have different ranges and therefore this would need to be taken into account.

Still i think this is the way forward....

Consider yourself lucky: signing up for this service is absolutely NOT recommended! And this is from someone that KNOWS.

Rather wait for iBurst - it's launching next year feb I think.

Sorry to hear that vegas, remind me again why you don't cancel your contract since they turned off the fourways tower?

Well, according to their zonelocator, Lonehill should be good reception in 2004,
They got another 3 months, something tells me, you'll be waiting a lot longer than that

On the point of environmental impact studies. I've heard that there might be legislation in the pipeline to bypass environmental impact studies for the signal towers due to the reasoning that they supply a service needed to uplift the masses. (or something in that line)

Environmental impact studies can add another 3 months to the activation time of a tower, apparently...
