Free HSDPA Swapout

Double checked this with Vodashop RB after Brad's phone call this morning, I missed the orginal post you made here.... According to Michelle at VS it is only available if you purchased or recieved the card on or before 3 Feb 2006.

Otherwise awesome news from Vodacom....

Blanket swapout. Period. No funny dates. As long as you can prove you bought the 3G card from vodacom, you'll get one.

But it amounts to the same thing, anyone who bought a 3G card after 1 Feb got a free swapout in any case.

Let me know if you battle.
 
Vodashop Kenilworth - 8 - (021-671-8873)

I called the above shop. The lady said "can only be swopped if I bought my contract in March".

vodacom3g, is there ANY way that I can get the correct message through to them?

On another note, how do one now find a Vodashop's number? The Vodacom site now only tell me to call 125-vodacom and then i'll be routed to a shop nearest to the tower . This is somewhat problematic if the particular shop is not answering their phones or i want to phone a specific shop? Am i looking in the wrong placE?

I just phoned my local vodashop. The catch is that you had to purchase the 3G card after 1 Feb 2006. Great now im screwed.

And V3G and Brad saves the day once again... I love the Durban team regarding response times and resolving issues, they remind me of stampeding buffalos....

The card can be swapped out irrelevant of date. Durban HQ got the data desk to call the VS and resolve it with them directly.... Maybe look at some process temporarily for this v3g ?

Oh well guess i'll have to wait a bit, no one in Centurion has any idea what im talking about. They are very eager to give me R400 for my old card though. And here i thought Gauteng is faster than the Cape.

mwahahahaha! I just phoned the Vodashop again and now they are playing a different tune. So either v3g had a chat with them or they had an epiphany or something =8p

I have confirmed with The Glen VodaShop that you can exchange your card anywhere and you are not forced to go to the shop that you originally purchased the card from.

Vodacom3G can you confirm this?

Thanks , that saves me the trouble with Pretoria . What shops in the PTA->Midrand [Sandton is furthest i'm willing to go at this stage] area do have stock and did read the memo ? Anyone know?

Is there end date to this offer - I may need to wait until the router firmware has been upgraded and will only then swap out my card - It would be annoying if the swap out offer was not available come 1st June.
 
Ok, I called the Vodashop at Kenilworth Center again .. and they received the instructions .. so now I have my new card. Will only try this evening when I get home from work.
 
Just got off the phone with Customer Care (111).

They can't help if Menlyn will not do the swop, I have to go to Brooklyn!
(REALLY sick, will be especially bad if you bought the card in a different province!)

And i bought my card in Stellenbosch and now are in Gauteng...surely they are asking for a logistics nightmare forcing people to return to original shop. So i can't imagine they will be that silly , probably just someone not understanding the scope of things at that shop.
 
Nashua Mobile Card swap

I called Nashua Mobile to swap-out three of my cards, they are not aware of this and they are insisting that it does not apply to them only Voda shops, V3G can we get clarity on this ?:mad:
