Have you already swapped your old 3G data card for a new HSDPA data card?

V3G can you perhaps post the official communication that is going out to the retailers so we can take with us?

Thanks

Thanks to Vodacom and VG3! I swapped mine at Vodashop Fourways, and I think I took the last one! :D

But seriously, good move for Vodacom. They showed that they do listen to their customers AND act on what they hear.

Now lets have a poll to get VG3 a raise or a big bonus or something, cause something tells me its partly his doing. ;)

One more: Finally got through to Vodashop Vodaworld.

A very helpfull lady (Sabrina) answered, quite willing to help, but they are out of stock on HSDPA.

The other Midrand shop refuses to help (same sorry story - go back where you came from!)

Were do i complain i called Vodashop Eastgate to comfirm they had stock i get and say I'm here to swop out my card they say sorry no stock we have 1 but its booked out on contract ok maybe she made a mastake get a friend to call same person answers says they do have stock friend says i want 2 of them tho they say no problem we have stock I HATE BEING LIED TO !!! who do i call to resolve this. Anyone have any suggestions ??

Just tried Vodashop Kolonnade, same result, they will only help customers who bought from them (even though they still have stock).

Can we please have a third option added to the poll: I have tried to swop, but have only gotten cr*p from the Vodashops?

(maybe worded more diplomatically)

Vodacom3G, I know this isn't exactly your job, but could you possibly arrange a swop for me, somewhere in the Pretoria/Midrand area? (Got the Invoice, contract, statement).

Vodashop Hatfield (next to CNA) told me to go to the place where I got my 3G card - while 155 tells you that you can go to ANY Vodacom approved outlet

The staff at Vodashop Brooklyn were MUCH more better informed - just waiting for the card to come in :)

Thanks Vodacom - Ki@kass customer service !!

Rompelstompel

PS - Now only for prepaid data bundles ;)

Does anybody know of a helpful place in Pretoria, I think I'll make my mission for tomorrow morning to swap my card. Nashua doesn't want to know anything!

I agree, the Brooklyn shop seems to be quite on-the-ball. If only somebody could figure out a way to get them some cards!:)

The Vodacom4U shop in Wonderpark is also willing to help, but also do not have stock (expecting some Monday).

In defence of the Vodashops, it may help to know that all orders placed today (by the stores) for HSDPA cards, have gone onto backorder (this was as much a surprise to the procurement guys at Vodacom as to all of us). Therefore the stock in the stores as at yesterday is all the stock that the shops have got for both swapouts and new clients.

It stands to reason then that the Vodashops will look after their own clients first... However, more stock is on it's way and there is no cut-off date given for the swapouts. I would suggest that you put your name down on a waiting list at the closest Vodashop (or a few shops) and hopefully the stock arrives sooner rather than later.

I know it is frustrating for all the internet junkies, but I assure you the enhanced speed you will experience is well worth waiting for!!

Whats wrong with all these shops? WTF? *edit: I just read the previous post and yeah it makes sense that they'll take care of their own customers first but they could at least state this and not spew some BS on people. Why not just take an order?*

Anyway like I said, if you're in Joburg, Fourways was very helpfull. Maybe call them and hear when they'll have stock again.

Vodashop Centurion Mall saw the light, no stock but placed my name on a waiting list. They also wasn't sure about swopping out if i got my card at another store, a phone call sorted that out [so i CAN swop my card anywhere].

Nashua swap-out cards

Ok Nashua Mobile, are finally aware of the swap-outs, but there is no stock and their is no waiting list. V3G, please can you set the record straight, can Nashua Mobile clients go to a Vodashop and do a swap-out or must we go through Nashua Mobile, whom we signed the contract with ?

Anyone know who we can scream at Nashua Mobile ?

As long as you are on contract, Nashua/Autopage clients can swap their cards anywhere. If you bought 4 cash, you must go back to the place you bought it.

I agree that the Vodashops should have been given some extra stock, but it seems this was a rather sudden policy change?

On the subject of the forum getting advanced notification, seems only 5 forumites have succeeded in doing a swop!

I went to Vodaworld today to exchange my card..The lady charged me R1989.00 for the exchange..She also did not know about it untill her colleagues told her about it..
Must say again, its tremendous...Ooerr,16min and Im standing on 4.5 M....

V was clever with the free swop out....

Msg to V3G: I tried today to swap my 3G card for a HSDPA card and my local Vodashop refused to swap it. I took it out on contract at Vodacom4u, but as they did not have stock they advised me to got to the local Vodashop. They said that they wont swap it for me as I did not get the contract from them! I asked if it was a Vodacom or Owner decision and they informed me it was the owners decision. They are the only local Vodacom approved shop that have cards in stock. Please sort this out for me. The Shop is Vodashop Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein. I can give you the owners name and tel number if needed. Will appreciate your help, as they were not very helpfull!

Apologies for being off-line a while.

I think 3G4ME answered most of the questions. Thanks!

ANY 3G card can be swapped, as long as you somehow legally obtained it from Vodacom via any of the channels.

The way I understand it, is you can swap anywhere. I'll take this up.
