Msg to V3G: I tried today to swap my 3G card for a HSDPA card and my local Vodashop refused to swap it. I took it out on contract at Vodacom4u, but as they did not have stock they advised me to got to the local Vodashop. They said that they wont swap it for me as I did not get the contract from them! I asked if it was a Vodacom or Owner decision and they informed me it was the owners decision. They are the only local Vodacom approved shop that have cards in stock. Please sort this out for me. The Shop is Vodashop Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein. I can give you the owners name and tel number if needed. Will appreciate your help, as they were not very helpfull!
I think Vodacom HQ should just put a policy in place. If every shop just decide willy-nilly how they will run this process then in the end of the day you
get a bunch of unhappy customers who will now have half the country's Vodashops on their hatelist . I'm sure Vodacom -wants- to give the impression that all their franchise shops are actually providing customer service.
If they don't want to shop out their own stock they should at least provide the service of shipping+ordering the card from the specific Vodashop. Just like if i went to ABSA in Kroonstad and they do not have product X, they are not going to tell me to go to ABSA PTA, THEY will do that [i.e. ordering/transferring etc etc]. Even though it might take longer, i'd imagine it is their duty?
