Free iBurst bandwidth after midnight

Yesterday, to update dragon age, a nice 500MB were downloaded. My usage report today isnt that much, so the discount is working for me it seems.

Screw this ****, Im tired of these people saying its 50% if your on this package, and 20% on that package. Using all these confusing methods to prove it works, when most clearly it doesnt for the majority of people. Ive been with Iburst for 3 years now. And they still dont know how to tell us straight... Ummm listen here dumb ass. If your on this package which we upgraded you too, then you have to degrade pay the annual fee, and still get the same service... and free midnight internet! It upsets me. I want Iburst to Email me , and tell me EXACTLY whats going on, and where I benefit in the package I currenty posses. Make it happen.
 
I've been sitting this round out for a while because I will be away and there's no point paying for a service I can't use but I'm hoping to start up again in August - PLEASE IBURST sort out these issues before then?
But thanks for the extra 466.64 extra Mb in honour of Madiba!

Up to now, no one proved to me that the FREE SERVICE after hours discount is not working.
 
I was also going to sit this one out Divv, but seriously Remot; it has been proven that there is a problem/misconception with the after hour discount service… In fact it was proven by you twice. First by acknowledging that there was a problem at the beginning of the month, and secondly by informing us that the service was not available to users still on old packages that they did not migrate. A fact that has never been mentioned anywhere in the forum while people have been asking repeatedly how the after hour service was going to work.

And responding to a customer query like this:

Yeah, in the beginning of the month I wasnt getting discounted during after hours. It seems to be working now though.

Well, my amount I pay every month hasn't gone up, I think someone is ripping you off if you are paying more now.

Free bandwidth after hours

I know about the 52 page thread going on already, but I doubt my post will get noticed there, so I hope it's okay to make a new thread.

Seems I was pretty behind on the times, and I didn't catch on to the free bandwidth after midnight trial iBurst is doing. I saw that it stops at the end of July, which is the day after tomorrow, so I just want to know can I download tonight for free? I read somewhere about discounts after midnight, but I'm not sure if it's been implemented yet.

If I let downloads go tonight, I don't want to wake up tomorrow with a huge bill...

Your post will get noticed, what happens is the old thread will get bumped up to the top of the list of posts.

Not for free unfortunately, the trial ended at the end of June.

After Hours Usage and Limits

I am really enjoying this after hours service from iBurst. Just wish they could make it from 8pm to 8am instead of 12am to 8am.

Is there a limit on the service when it will be considered abuse as is happening in the current uncapped adsl accounts.

I have 64k service added on my account.

My usage thus far:

I would be willing to pay R600.00 per month for 24/7 1MB uncapped service from iBurst. Or increase the unlimited 64kb/128kb service to 512kb for R350 as a bolt-on.

Being from midnight to 08h00, I doubt you will ever be able to abuse iBurst. So I don't see that happening anytime soon.
 
Even if you download at 128kb/s straight through the night, the worst you can abuse iburst in a 8 hour window is like 2 Gigs.

So its not too bad, but not brilliant as well.
 
The best ave speed I got was on Thursday morning.

Ave d/l speed = 97kb/s
Total downloaded = 2.575 GB
Ave u/l speed = 41kb/s
Total uploaded = 1.185 GB
Total u/l + d/l = 3.76 GB
