Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

Good day gbotes. Thank you for your post. Kindly DM us the below details for us to assist you:
-Physical Address
-Cell phone number
-FRG/FF number
Thank you in advance.
Thank you, Frogfoot. My ISP was on it, and some technicians arrived to deal with it. The reason for my post, however, was to share my experience, which is that fibre is NOT the reliable solution it is touted to be UNLESS it is installed with robustness in mind. My experience has been that it is a fragile technology that falls over easily and often.

Vrotfoot issues again? Only getting 1mbps down.
1sec jitter on the line too

Some international routes seem to be tanking, some are working ok. Local tests seem fine.

Tested on mobile LTE with no issues

Every day for this last week has had degraded download speed, ping and 5% packet loss

Since Friday, seeing intermittent dropouts of throughput and then it recovers. Ping test confirms something is not lekker. Very irritating when streaming.

you are not alone... only im in Gauteng. Been bitching to my ISP (axxess) but they cant log a fault cause the ping statistics show a low % of lost packets.

mine started around thursday last week tho.

got that shortly after posting the above it seems. got busy and didnt check mails

It primarily seems to be an issue with the port you are assigned. It always happens after power comes back on in the area.
I turn the ont device off for 5min then it comes right.
@vrotfoot fix your crappy hardware

they reset my port. got a new ip and all. switched everything off for more than 5 minutes. nada. want to see the scarier part? https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/frogfoot-thread.1209825/post-30278653 someone in east london is having the same issues as i am in guateng. and at the same times as well. so the issue is a tiny bit more wide spread it seems. we both with @axxess. might be where the problem lies
As the East London victim, I can report that it is still ongoing and Axxess say they are waiting for feedback from Frogfoot. FFS. Impossible to keep a VPN / Remote connection working.

Best effort service.
