In fairness, Octotel also dropped in the Garden Route so the last outage was most likely NLD related. Also in Garden Route, connection dropped briefly a while ago. I'm with Telkom as ISP, not Afrihost, so given the comments here it looks like a Frogfoot problem. Again.
If the only network operator in your area is Frogfoot, register your interest here, competition is good:

Considering the young age of this NLD5 route and I'm guessing the active kit that lights it....it's reliability is shocking!New Outage

-- In an innovative approach, asked ISPs to deploy a series of increasingly puzzling and repeating tests with the hopes that the end users give up, and embark on a spiritual journey rather than use the internet
-- Sent our top-notch team of trained monkeys to investigate the issue
-- Discovered that the problem was caused by a rogue squirrel chewing on the cables
-- Offered the squirrel a bribe and a job as the new (only) network administrator
-- Squirrel declined, citing better opportunities at Openserve
-- Decided to go for the old, tried and tested feedback: Deny deny deny.
-- Feedback to clients: No faults found. Must be an ISP issue.
-- Services online, when we checked, so: Outage resolved!
-- END
FTFY

have decided to switch. troubleshooting is non-existent and support, well, they cannot fix my client services login for more than a day.@Afrigirl @AfriNatic With all these service interruptions that are being experienced by users on the frogfoot network these past several weeks, worse at night. If their are alternative fno providers in the area, do you recommend we switch to them ?
