Frogfoot Port Elizabeth

It's been fine for CISP customers as far as I'm aware, last time I didn't get my usual 10ms to CPT was when there was an issue with the longhaul between George and CPT.

Then it's got nothing to do with Frogfoot, the handovers are in the same DCs for every ISP.

spoke to a friend 3 houses down from me who is also on the same ISP as me who is getting 70 odd ms. is this an ISP issue or a node issue in our neighbourhood and on frogfoots end?

We have not opted to terminate clients in JHB and we always doing what is best for all clients on the FF network!
What have you guys done today in port Elizabeth/ frogfoot, ont got discounted , few minutes later it recovered but friends router failed to receive ip, would say service was down about a hour and half or more .
Glad i am not with afrihost as my connection recovered without a problem.
Friend is contemplating moving isps.

I liked your original statement (before the edit) about not finding it fair that AH is forced to take on their PE clients in JHB due to the size of AH as an ISP and back-haul limitations beyond AH's control and that you were gathering info to present to FF because it was unfairly giving an impression that AH has a poor network. Is this still the case?

Yes , i form part of the walmer node so makes sense
Apologies misread your post, looks like you're being routed via Cape Town seeing as you can still get 23ms to Cape Town? Thought you were routed via Joburg like us after reading WiseCrack's post. Hopefully the NLD maintenance coming up can fix the issue
