Yes every night for the last 3 or 4 days there have been problems.
So what do you guys think apparently they routed through Cape Town again which brought my ping down from 40ms to 28ms ,but packet loss is a big issue.
Do you guys prefer higher latency to JHB with less packet loss or being routed through CPT with increased packet loss?
I agree and share the same experience you mention above except for the part when you say 3-4 days (Is this for the last week or for the entirety of your experiences while on this package)
I ask because even though changing the routing for the past few days may have improved the connection in certain aspects during these time frames my latency locally was around the 150-200ms and 400+ internationally. This issue we experienced last night was exactly what we have had on a regular basis for the past month or more.
7pm-11pm----> The only thing this 50/50 FTTH package is capable of doing is streaming locally hosted content and that is besides the point neither is it something to be content with and as per my screenshot (No ISP equipment and connected via Ethernet Gbit) the download speed drops from 50mb to 5mb and often as low as 3mb.
During this time frame the internet package provides more grief and anxiety when trying to use than anything else as that speedtest is not actually a clear indication of what is happening with our package during these times albeit it does indicate to me when I shouldn't attempt to use it.
