We are seeing really good performance for our clients getting traffic in JHB. Latency to CPT and international might be a bit higher but in general it's really good.

All was fine until this evening, don't even think Joburg/PE link can handle all the PE traffic routed through it:

Dstv streaming looks like 480p

As always after Frogfoot worked on something in Newton Park the line is in its M***. 200/200 and getting 100ms+ to CPT and less than 40MBDL speed.

I am averaging 100ms to my ISPs access router tonight, this is just crazy




The traffic must be taking a very very long path, not even PE -> JHB -> CPT would get this kind of latency.

I must say i am impressed with Cool Ideas network, they handle the packet loss very well with their TCP accelerators, I have been getting my full 20/20 to London the whole day, only thing I've really noticed was the latency increase.

I would be willing to provide some feedback this evening as that is the time frame our internet package deteriorates.

It's always a good thing to stay positive although this has been something I have been experiencing for a few months already which these maintenance procedures have yet to alleviate.
