There should be a health warning against posts like this to poor old sods like me stuck on temperamental 10/1 ADSL. I only came in here because Frogfoot are digging up the curb a few streets away. So there is some hope...

Not really...because as more people hop onto their network (see what I did there) it runs the risk they haven't catered for that and we all pay the price with multiple disconnects during the day.
I'm off Frogfoot in July (will be giving notice in June!) and also Vox...I'll get Vumatel & AN Other ISP.

So nice of you to make way for me.

There will be another option in our town, Herotel Fibre. Currently, a bit of race on between these two providers. The thing about Herotel is that they are the ISP to their own network. They run cable pole to pole and are offering to double your speeds for a year if you put a pole in your garden.

Hehehe! No worries, glad to be of some assistance.

We went down something like 10x in 3 days. I went down 8x in 8 years with Telkom which says something about their service.
It got so bad that it has left such a bad impression that, although they have been stable now, I still want off.
 
FrogFoot issues aside - I cannot recommend Cool Ideas enough. The experience has been sublime. No shaping of anything - it just works.
 
I have no access at all. Frogfoot is meant to be sending technicians, but who knows how long that will take. Apparently there isn't an outage in my area (Fernglen).
 
Coolideas support ticket says that there is a suspected Frogfoot outage in my area.
They mention Cape Town/PE, so maybe it's this connection?
Frogfoot technicians are apparently working on it.

Same for me

Must be a FF issue CI is crawling today.

Currently getting 0.77 down and 25 up on 200/200.

Something she is broken.
