Been having crazy ping spikes in online games. Ping to EU goes from 180 to 1000+. It keeps jumping around. Anyone else having this issue? Rowallan Park area.
 
Not gaming but seems ok my side for eu - Summerstrand RocketNET

Game servers on AWS or Azure get handed off in SA and they do their own intl routing normally

There's been a definite improvement since the 5th of July, no more obscene packet loss at night which was the norm for the past couple of weeks.

Let's hope the good performance stays. Would be interested to know if those on gigabit packages are getting their rated speeds in the evenings
 
All has been good my side since the maintenance where they installed additional switches. I've been gaming almost every night.

High EU ping wont be a FF issue though, they only have control over the latency between you and Teraco, from there on it would be your ISP causing the high EU latency.
 
Took a few traceroutes. The ones on the left being to the elder scrolls online servers. Right hand side World of Warcraft. Both EU servers.

Might be that some of your EU blizzard traffic could be routed via the East Coast, perhaps @AfriNatic can help.

Latency on the left looks like a US server. On the right it looks like it's going to EU via EASSy.

Please drop me a pm with the trace routes and your account so we can see if we can improve the latency a bit.
 
Actually getting disconnected now. Can't play on EU servers. Haven't tried local servers yet. Ping was fine up until like a week or two ago?
