Fuel consumption

I record everything in fuelly.
Previous car 2014 golf tsi 1.4 turbo averaged 7.3l/100km for 200 000km.
Current 2014 sq5 3.0 diesel twin turbo averages 9.3l/100km

For my little type 9N I drove to Durban, around it and only topped up on the way back it got 800km on that tank
My Clio 4 last year, drove to the Bluff and did about 850km on one tank, on the open road it's great, city driving I get about 550 to 600

Which 9n?

I drive a 2010 Tata Indica 1.4l petrol.

My last fill up showed 7.64l/100km.
My average over 48 000km in about 6 years is 7.88l/100km.

2012 Chev Aveo 1.6 with 118k km on the clock- averages around 13-14km/l of which 75-80% is town driving and really driving like a granny and using Hypermiling techniques as much as i can, had i know this car was so thirsty i would have steered clear. If i drive normal i get around 11km/l, saw this on the first tank where i only got under 500km on the 45l tank.

2018 Big Boy TSR 250 with 12k km on the clock- averages around 33 km/l of which 90% has been town driving, used it twice from Alberton to Roodepoort around 70km round trip of which 40-50km was highway. This was a good buy so far, yes cheap chinese but look after it and it will last just fine. Had it for 4 months and done a fair amount of riding on and off road and no issues so far.

Clio RS 220 trophy, averaging 11l/100km. mostly since covid i do zero commuting miles, cruising. I purely use it for quick blasts and short trips.

Tigan R-Line 1.4 T - average always hovering around 7.6 overall. its the family car. only cruises.

BMW 220d - 6.0l/100km in town ; 5.5l/100km when I'm gunning it on the freeway. 4.3l/100km when I'm taking it a bit easy long distance

Sirion 1.5
260000km on the clock
Last fill up 5.17l/100km
50 city/50 highway

2.0 diesel Fusion down to the coast. Fully loaded, a fair bit of traffic (thus passing lots of cars and trucks), cruise control mostly on 130, and 2.5 hours of rain.

Sjo.

I didn't know my wife's 320D was so light on fuel - compared to other brands.
she gets 800-900km in town and 1200+km on the highway. (75L tank - diesel)

My landy gets about 4.
kilometers per liter
when doing 140Kmph.

luckily - when doing 80kmph she dips to around 10KM/L

Kadett 200iS
Averages 7.8 litres per 100km of mixed driving.
