I have a Macbook running Snow Leopard. I created a Boot Camp dual boot partition with Windows 7. I recently loaded Fusion 2 and imported the Win 7 partition. Problem is that I cannot get the network to work. I have Googled this, but only found one useful page that suggested editing the "partition name".vmx file. This only allows you to use NAT and this fix only worked once. Now the network aint workin no more. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Have you tried using the latest version of Fusion - 3? Alternatively, check that you have installed VMware tools within the VM. You shouldn't ever need to manually edit the vmx file as it's all configurable from the main menu. In fact I would say never mess with the vmx file. If still no joy then copy the vmdk file alone somewhere else, and create a new vm from this vmdk.

Thanks a mil. Upgraded to version 3 and it seems to be working fine now. V2 does not actually have Win 7 support.
