Futubox

Finally got mine working on my samsung smart tv, flippen hell was a hassle, the quick and easy steps on futubox's website under FAQ does not work. Luckily they are quick to respond on their facebook page. Worked pretty cool on my 4m uncapped at mweb. The HD buffered every now and again for about 3-4 seconds, but other that that it was fine
DO you have an app on the TV or do you use the site?

Trying to get mine running on my Sammy Smart too! But it looks complicated. Can you put a little guide together for us?

I used an app called nstreamplayer. Its not supported anymore, the ruskies updated it to nstreamVOD, and if you want to use that you need to pay someone.

Its a flippen pain to get it to work (will check tonight if it still works). The problem is that the server ips on futubox's faq points to the new nstreamVOD, and that does not work (well NASA tv on it works). So I got a copy of the old nstreamplayer for futubox (Don't know if I am allowed to post the dropbox link they gave me here?).

I followed the instructions in there, installed WAMP on my pc to set up a web server. Copy the nstreamplayer to the web server, update the widget list.xml to the player.

I then logged on to futurbox's site, and downloaded a playlist. Copied out the generated key in there, edited the nstream.xml file and added the key in there.

Lastly, signed in on sammy as develop, pointed to my webserver, installed the nstreamplayer and it worked.

Dammit - can't get signin on my ipad... it just keeps redirecting to the login screen.

I will be able to assist you with setting up Futubox on XBMC this weekend.

Got that working last night - but thanks. Used your guide on doing the EPG - and created a playlist with only the English channels.

Working on both my main installation and Openlec on Pi.

I think it died last night because my internet suddenly dropped in performance, I started a download and it was only hitting 50KB/s. Was bloody annoying because it was 10min from the end of a Movie :p But I suppose thats the risk you take with a solution like this.

Now I'm just trying to login on my ipad to show someone at work.

i just logged in on my ipad withno issues.

Could you possible point me in a direction on how to get this working with XBMC? I use Plex for my local content and a Roku for all online streaming. I am willing to load XBMC just for Futubox but not too sure how to get this working. I know how to install XBMC onto my HP Server but thats about it... Would really help alot if you or someone could help me out.

on xbmc its relatively easy (well did it on xbmc on my iPad). You basically only need the playlist (log on to futubox and generate the playlist), then all you do in xbmc, is go to video, open file and point it to the playlist. And bobs your uncle, only need to do it once

OK cool thanks. Going to install XBMC and see if I can get this working. Do you know if there is a way to get XBMC working with Roku?

All channels are smooth for me today on SD (busy working over VPN, so not trying HD)

Signed up tonight and streaming HD on my Telkom 4mb line. Streaming through Chrome though, will battle with XBMC over the weekend.

Been trying this since last night on Afrihost Business 4mb uncapped.

SYfy doesnt load, ESPN lags on both HD and SD

Watching the SKY F1 P2 on XBMC and i haven't had any issues so far. The quality is reasonable and I have a 2mb line.
