Got my Orginal Samsung Book cover today! Had a body glove and a Blue chinese cover before this. Must say I like this Book cover the most. Much thinner than the body glove, with the obvious down side being it might protect it less but I prefer less bulk. On that note, it really works well with the tablets design in that it's thin and has a plastic leather-like back to it. The sleep wake function works as its supposed to and it comes with two different viewing angles. The front cover is not magnetically held in place so will open easily if you turn it upside down.

The thing I like the most is that compared to the other two cases, this one flaps the other way round which allows you to charge will the cover is closed.

Looks really good. One question though.... How did you get windows to display? Are you running teamviewer on it?

So I returned the incorrect screen guard (had the one for the Tab 3) to Incredible Corruption. They don't stock screen guards for the Note 10.1 2014.
Vodacom does have it (for R180), but only the Anti-Glare one.

*sigh* I'll have to keep looking.

as jarrodr said, musica Sandton has a few. They got 3 types. Impact proof screenguard for R250, colour enhancer scratch guard @ R199 & and normal scratch guard @ 149 . All by bodyglove. They also had one bodyglove cover @ R499 iirc

The Impact proof one fits well, bubbles disappear within 2 hours. Not noticable at all. There is more friction when using s-pen tho, but I suppose one will get use to it. I loved drawing and writing on it without the screenguard.

That friction will mostly disappear the more you write on it. The tip of the pen gets smoother as you use it. I got mine at incredible connection though, don't know why they're saying they don't stock it.

Thanks!

I was at a mtn store yesterday, but didn't commit. LOL.

4 documents:

- Latest payslip
- 3 months' bank statements
- ID
- Proof of address

I took the 500MB (cheapest) deal, and will simply add an Afrihost bundle to it. Whereas if I took a more expensive deal with MTN (with more data), I'd be locked in for the extra amount for 24 months.

So yay for Afrihost with their awesome month-to-month pricing! :)

For anyone still looking for screen protectors, musica in pavilion has plenty of them.

I am wondering if I must even bother with a screen protector.. I tried a screen protector on my phones but they definitely ruined something about the screen quality. Yanked it off and never looked back. That and all of my phones have never had the slightest scratch on the screen and it's not like your note will go in your pocket with keys etc.

Get one of the crystal ones. They are clear and do not affect the screen quality at all. The matte screen protectors and some of the cheaper ones have a rainbow effect and ruin the screen. I had crystal ones on all of my phones and tablets. Screen sensitivity and the s pen are not affected at all.

I just have a tip for anyone with a screen protector which has just been applied. When you first apply it, you might feel that there is a little friction on the screen.

Here is a simple solution. It worked for me and i do not feel the friction when writing.

All you need to do is grab hold of a clean rag or duster. Spray just a bit of furniture polish on it.... Like pledge or mr min. Not too much. And just wipe off the screen guard until its clean and dry.

Once done, you can use your s pen flawlessly. No friction or anything. Great when taking down notes at a rapid pace or even drawing on screen.

Let me know if it works. The polish does not damage or dull the screen guard in any way at all. I tried this with the crystal clear screen guard :)

DUDE!! If there was a "Legend of the Week" awards, you'd win the prize.

It works like a charm now.. I was so frustrated that I considered removing the guard completely. the s-pen was leaving 'scratches' & skid marks as I wrote. Page scrolling was a mission. it was painful. Tried the Pledge on half the screen, and tested it.. brilliant.. wiped down the entire screen and its as smooth as silk.

Right now, there is a kid enjoying a Happy meal with your name on it.

Thanks man!

I'm happy to hear that this actually made a difference to at least one user. I myself was really frustrated at first with the rubber tips of the s-pen. I came from using a Note 2 which was really smooth (It has a plastic tip).

When I first got my Note 3 and 10.1 2014, I couldn't understand how people who reviewed the device didn't pick up the friction issue (especially when using a screen guard). It was really beginning to ruin my Note experience.

I discovered this method when using a duster to clean my desk. I saw that my screen had fingerprints and smudges, then used the duster to wipe it clean. This is the most amazing discovery I have made so far. It really boosted my overall experience with my Note devices.

This also seems to prevent my s-pen from wearing out very quickly.

Really great when I am writing notes or drawing diagrams. If you feel that the polish wares out after a while, feel free to wipe it again.

To the kid with the happy meal.........Go forth my child and enjoy your meal! :D

The cover was just delivered (original Samsung, bought from loot.co.za).

It claims to have 2 standing modes: video/viewing mode and typing mode.
It's really not that easy to get it into viewing mode. And even then, I am rather skeptical about it staying there...
Typing mode is not that stable either. It keeps falling flat :(

Anyway, that's my experience.

Sticks firmly for both modes for me. Just make sure the viewing mode is the how it is setup in the picture. The typing mode sticks too. There is a powerful magnet in the back case that keeps it together

Aah, yes, you are correct!

Looks like I was just being typically clueless with new gadgets!
