So it seems you sods got the last covers from loot before they ran out of stock.

Luckily I ordered before they realized and upped the price but so far I have been waiting for a week. Emailed them and they estimate 05 Feb. Really anxious about chipping the silver around the phone, already have one nick.

loot cancelled my order for the screen guard - their supplier can't get it for them.

Anyone know which Musicas in CT have it?

Most Vodacom shops around us have various screen savers and flip covers for the Note 10.1 2014.
You could try them.

So I went to do the dirty with MTN today, signed all paper work and left the shop waiting on them to call back. However I do wonder if I should have gotten a copy of the contract or any slip thing... I suppose I should have asked for a copy before leaving. The person who helped me took everything for submission.

I just have a tip for anyone with a screen protector which has just been applied. When you first apply it, you might feel that there is a little friction on the screen.

Here is a simple solution. It worked for me and i do not feel the friction when writing.

All you need to do is grab hold of a clean rag or duster. Spray just a bit of furniture polish on it.... Like pledge or mr min. Not too much. And just wipe off the screen guard until its clean and dry.

Once done, you can use your s pen flawlessly. No friction or anything. Great when taking down notes at a rapid pace or even drawing on screen.

Let me know if it works. The polish does not damage or dull the screen guard in any way at all. I tried this with the crystal clear screen guard :)

Most excellent, all smooth now :)

Thanks. I've checked but the one's I've been to (Stellenbosch) only have the anti-glare screen guard. I need the crystal clear one.

The note 10.1 2014 has completely replaced my laptop.I just wish there was an official Microsoft office app. Every app I have tried so far lacked in one department or another.

Also, does anyone use a MHL adapter? (to connect the tablet to a screen/projector)

Just wanted to know if anyone with the Lte version of the Note 10.1 received a firmware update as yet. I am referring to the one which allows you to create user accounts. I read that the wifi and 3G version of the tablet should have the update.

It apparently makes the device run smoother.

I have the 3G one and still don't have the update

I just got my Note through MTN, it's awesome! However i expected it to feel buttery smooth, Touchwiz just feels a bit sluggish.

Congrats on your purchase. Do they still have only the 16gig LTE?

There are many unnecessary things you can turn off to make it smooth. I will try and find a list and post it here.

Apparently the update irons out the lag in the device. We just dont have the update here as yet. Remember to get your screenguard and case.

As mentioned earlier by me, if you feel that the s-pen drags accross the screen with a bit of friction, then just spray a tiny bit of furniture polish and wipe it off. It will be friction free and the s-pen will work flawless.

Sweet, thanks for the tips.
According to MTN, only the 16gb LTE version is available in SA. On the hunt for a good screen protector and case now, looking at the roocase mentioned in this thread or the original samsung book case.

I have the roocase and it's okay but beware it is a finger print magnet. The outside is a rubbery type material so any oils and marks or scuffs shows immediately. If the original case had been available before I purchased the roocase I would have bought the original.

I see the original from loot.co.za is R600. Still a bit pricey, i'm going to check around for some chinese cases first. They're around R100 and look the same.
