I've been monitoring the following page and it does seem like there is activity (Spain is the latest lucky country), but indeed it is frustrating to wait:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-P605&pcode=0
That's for the P605, which I got from MTN.
I got the P605 from MTN as well, very frustrating waiting for any update. Seems Samsung have forgot about this model and concentrating on the new "pro" range.

I bought mine last year from the Samsung store in Gateway and when I called them about the kit kat upgrade they said they have no idea...
So I decided to install it myself and it was straightforward....really happy with the battery life and overall performance...
and the multi user profile is great....now the kids can use it with access to only their apps....

Think I'll wait patiently for MTN to roll out... whenever that is.

Well I'll give them till December:mad:.

Which version did you download?

I'm sick of waiting, amazing how Samsung are so slack with this high end device.

I second this question, which version did you install?

Also, did you have to root first?

I would also like to know what version. I downloaded the latest 4.4.2 Ireland version today and I could not load it at all. I battled the whole day just to get my tablet running again. Update failed on Odin. At the end I downloaded the latest Vodacom 4.3 version from last year Nov and could save the tablet.

LTE EDITION....

Warning: You might have to revert to factory default setting because how things has changed looking at rights and permissions for the external sd...

For my 10.1 2014 LTE

I used the rom from this page
http://www.howtoroot.mobi/2014/06/flash-p605xxucne2-android-442-kit-kat.html

Followed the steps from here
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/android-4-...xy-note-10-1-2014-edition-lte-sm-p605-1450873

Tools required:
Samsung USB driver thing (comes with kies)
Oden (be careful of malware sites hosting "it" instead of it)
Rom

...My google store stopped working, tried all the fixes and in the end factory reset fixed it. Interesting enough after the reset I got another ±20meg update. Now everything is going as it should.

Is it absolutely worth the trouble? I am not terribly happy with my device. Seems laggy on 4.3. Youtube videos for interest has random pauses, sound is fine but the image momentarily lags.

Trouble?

Took me 5-10 minutes to read it, understand it and then it was simple click-click-click-wait-wait-click....

Of course resetting to factory defaults was a bit **** :D

I wasn't terribly happy with my device before the update. Afterwards, it's become a dream and I use it daily without any hassles

I have tried two different version now, P605XXUCNF2_P605VDICNF1_VDI and P605XXUCNF2_P605VFGCNE1_VD2.
Each time exactly as the instructions. Every time Odin Fails at the end. Tablet then refuses to start up. I then have to restore via ODIN to the 4.3 Vodacom version I downloaded from Sammobile to get it working again.
Seems my wonderful SM-P605 doesn't want to update to 4.4.

EDIT: Msg after update via ODIN:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-P605
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
AP SWREV: S2, T2, R2, A2, P2
UDC START
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

I am definitely not happy with my so called premium device. From what I have read, the device is a pure joy on 4.4. The lack of support in terms of updates sucks. Not sure who is responsible, is it Vodacom or Samsung SA?
