Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 availability ?

Just got one from singapore. Very fast with a lovely screen. Still need to try the lte functionality. Got an ota update 2 minutes after powering up. Paid s$850.

There's no international warranty, I called samsung:banghead:.

Btw, Samsung Clearwater pricing is R9500...ouch
 
Yes. But they travel that route frequently. so I should be covered if anything goes wrong in the first year. However there is no ADH in Singapore!

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE (P6050) on latest MTN Yello Trader R369x24 on 500MB. Which is a decent entry level subsidized price.

F*** because I just bit the bullet 10 hours ago and bought a 9" Chinese Tab because I wanted the FHD at greater the 7" which ruled out the Nexus 7 (also the lack of external storage). Now that will be a 3 week+ wait for that device.

My only consolation is that this Chinese device should see me through a price drop on the P6050 in 6 months time. I am hoping.

Does MTN actually have this in stock right now? or is this one of those "Coming soon" type of deals.

Would love to grab one of these tabs soon. Especially the LTE one.

The MTN branches in PE have no idea what im talking about or what a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is. Yet after all is said and done they claim that they are waiting for stock after telling me that im probably referring to the galaxy tab 3. I hate incompetent staff!
 
OK, so I have received my 32GB wifi edition.

Taxes were more than expected at R1560.

Product cost and shipping was USD 612.

But the tablet is really great, much better even than I had expected.

Smaller and lighter than expected, must be similar to an iPad Air.

Still playing with it, plays Netflix really well.

Anyone know where I can get a case for it locally ?

How is the s-pen responsiveness on the screen? is it accurate and responsive ?

Does it handle well when using writting/drawing apps?

Are you seeing any sort of lag? People mention some lag on the interface, but I dont seem to trust most of the user comments as some users are very biased against other brands.

Just one more thing i want to know.....How do the apps look on the screen? The screen is really high res, and most apps run at a lower resolution. Do they look low res on the tablet?
 
Just remember that there are a couple of different revisions of this floating around

Im specifically referring to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600 Wi-Fi
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P601 3G
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P605 3G+LTE

The SM-P600 has no support for GSM at all. Just keep this all in mind.

Just be wary when they are stocked locally, coz they gonna try sell the P600 for the P605 price, just you wait and see... especially VodacoN
 
I really need one of these for an xmas gift, is there a local date yet?

I haven't really played around with the pen as yet, guess that I am not used to that. Will try it and report back.

Most Apps that I have tried look great. Pressreader and the FT App work very well, will be doing some more testing and will report back as soon as possible.

As I said, Netflix is sweet !

Oh, and the sound is great, much better than my previous tablet.

This thing will give the iPad Air a serious run for its money.

It's a brilliant device. In a lot of aspects it will beat it. Well according to gsmarena anyway...

And just a small thing, it is really cool that it now uses a microUSB port (for access and charging).

I called a branch of Cellucity and a vodacom store to see when they would be getting stock as they have the tablet advertised already. As far as they know, the tablet will only be available in January 2014.

Dion wired also had this tablet on their brochure, but it says "coming soon"

Really annoyed as it has already been released in many countries already including places like India. I would have really wanted to get one for myself as a early xmas gift.

Was actually watching tv a few days ago and Vodacom had three tablets, think it was the Sony, a tab and a note and only gave prices for two out of the three. That was about a week ago so I think December is more likely for Vodacom
 
so a buddy of mine is heading over to New York in a weeks time. Ive been holding out for the new Nexus 10, but after yesterday (no announcement) Im back in the Samsung boat.

Im just wondering what the best source would be to get this while he is there? I checked Amazon, and they mostly have the P600 but I want the P605. Need to keep looking around

I was waiting for the Nexus 10 2 but Black Friday and Cyber Monday past with nothing to show.

I'm going to get the MTN deal for R399 p/m, so eager. Anyone know of any better deals?

Wouldn't the 369 be better? Unless you need more Data of course..
