Funny hearing from a lot more broken hearted men than woman here, doesn't really fit the societal view of the "tender woman" seems to be men are the ones left devestated.

There's only guys on the internet. And Mila. But seeing that she's a ginger she has no soul and she therefore cannot cry.

Times have changed, and while women are now seen as equals to men, the hard truth is that the balance of power is heavily shifted towards them. They have the pu55y, and therefore it is much easier for them to move on with their lives. Guys are always giving them attention, and they can pick and choose as they please. It's a lot easier for them to socialise because everyone automatically jumps to the damsel in distress to console them and be there for them.

For us it is much harder to move on because we actually have to put in an effort, through all the pain that we're already going through (not saying that they don't experience the same pain, but it is easier for them to move on through it because they have options). Look, it's ok to cry and just let it all out. It's akin to grieving the loss of a loved one, so grieve it and let it all out. Take comfort in knowing that you're not alone in this. From this thread alone you can see that.

Keep yourself occupied, and see it as an opportunity to drive yourself to achieve greater things. In some aspects, the relationship was holding you back from this, but now that you have the time, go out and make the most of it. So she was hot, big deal, plenty of hot women out there. In time you will find someone else, but the key is to learn about why things failed so that you don't repeat the same mistakes. Even if she doesn't want to give you reasons, when the time is right and you're ready to move on, take some time to think about it for yourself.

Clearly she was too hot for you.

lol lame - she described me as beautiful and believed I was from another planet so your meager attempts at insulting me shall not prevail, although beautiful was an odd term

Realize it takes 2 to be "in love" a one sided afair will never work and - get over it.

I instituted my divorce so i don't have the same feelings but a friend of mine made me put a "bumper sticker" on my car (put it on the window for the agreed month)

It read:

I MISS MY EX - BUT MY AIM IS GETTING BETTER....

Dude there is always someone better and they will love you the way you deserve so why waste enegry and time on the paqst - just put it in the book of learning and move on otherwise you will stagnate and every one will pass you by - even perhaps the soulmate.

I think most of us have been through a break up like this, Mine was similar, after 2 years she broke up with me and 2 days later was with a new guy (makes it worse).. my advice is move on and do not go looking at her facebook profiles etc cos it can cause more harm to yourself.. I spent about a month just lying in bed not wanting to do anything, had no goals, couldnt care about anything. Smoked as much weed and drank as much as possible but all that did was delay the healing process... I had some very good friends which after not seeing me for a month came over and basically helped me through it.

They gave me a book to read (as lame as it sounds it really really helped). It made me realise why the girl didnt want me in the first place, It also made me realise that once you have made a few mistakes in the relationship there is NO WAY TO FIX IT EVER!!! certain things that men do that automatically make women think differently about you. Women think completely different to men and what women want is the "Alpha male". In your posts sorry to say but you dont sound like an "alpha male" at the moment - perhaps you were when you started the relationship but she took control and now you sound like you'd do anything to please her which is not what women want (they do want it but very limited supply of it) - The bad/hardcore guys always get the hot girls. This is too short of an explanation of how this works but just a short insight to hopefully help you out.

I cant tell you how to get over a girl, its hard to stop thinking about them when your life turns into thinking about them only. You gotta find what you enjoy doing and get your mind off of her. Start playing PC/console games. If you like music start focusing on that, whatever it is you enjoy just focus on making yourself better instead of wasting time thinking about what is not going to be.. I know its tough and you just want to go back to how it was because honestly thats the easy way.. In saying all this, there is only one person who can change the way you feel, YOU.

She might have been everything to you but if you can get someone that everyone turns there heads to once i dont see why you should have any problems doing it again. As much as you think there is nobody else on this planet that could be like her, there are alot of people that are possibly better, you just wont feel that way right now.

I hope you come out of this terrible coma that women land up putting guys in faster than what i did because honestly when i look back in time i see i really wasted a good month of my life that i can never get back. Its just about making life about yourself again. Remember that you can only live your own life, you cannot live anybody elses and remember to prioritize what you want out of life first, life is short and you cant spend all of it trying to please women:)

it always starts with a choice. you either choose to continue sulking, or you choose to move on.

A year Ninja, yeah Acid same advice I give to most people in my situation - depends on the intensity of how hard you fall for the person, Sam she's not a stripper but many people asked if she was :p she'd put the Mavericks girls to shame.

The thing about love is that you can't do it half-way. So it's always all or nothing (at least for me). I jump in with both feet and the intensity is usually the same. My words may have come across a little crass without explanation, but I hope you got the jist of it.

You talk about her personality/looks and think you'll never find someone else like that again. It's untrue. You will. And you're more than likely to find someone even better down the line. The problem is fishing through the tide of women that has no personality/ambition/sense of humor (and sometimes, if not mostly, rely on their looks)

If all else fails, Russian bride. Sounds silly, but something to consider. Same as if you're adopting a child if you're unable to have any.

Regret nothing you do in life. Regret nothing for those you love and have left. Even though my last real strong connection/relationship was 4 years ago, I remember all the fun we had and what we shared... up and till what the bitch did and said to my face just to get me to break up with her... then usually I get drunk and go to sleep happy. Not a path I'd recommend because it will take you longer to get over her.

Mourn the relationship all you want. Take your time. HARDEN THE **** UP and then bounce back. I've only recently (last 6 months) started dating again and even though some of my writings on the forums seem sexist, I've taken the time to heal and to observe and to mull over any mistakes I might have made in the past to move forward and become a better person to the one I choose to open my heart to. She'll be better off if you lose your luggage at the airport first before boarding her flight :D

You'll find most women who are in relationships that they want "out" of and can't think of any reason to get out of (starting silly fights/challenging your beliefs or morals etc to get a rise out of you to be the one who breaks up instead of them because "they dont want to hurt your feelings") usually has another suitor lined up.

There's a psychological study done that I read about that said women do this as a defense mechanism to be able to move on quicker, even if it takes months/years to get to the point of breaking up with their current boyfriend, when they decide it's over, it's usually something they "ride out" until the guy gives up trying to figure out what went wrong and just ends it.

This is why, whenever I talk to a date about boyfriends and how many hearts they've broken, when they tell me "I've never broken up with a boyfriend before, they've always broken up with me", I know for a fact that it is one of those technical truths. It's true, they've broken up with her, but the events leading up to the break-up sometimes is something she set into motion.

There's a list of sure-signs I know about when I know a relationship is about to end. Very detailed my list. And thus far it's been 100% accurate.

In a nutshell. To get over a woman get on top of another.

Nice to be you, hey!

My break-up happened a year ago, and I'm still hurting. I guess it takes longer for women than for men. At least I've stayed clear of rebounds and emotional zeros who want to mount anything that moves.
