Giclée print

Giclée printing - basically 'fine art' print using inkjet can yield really great results.

I attended an exhibition recently and saw several of these prints but could not find out where to get my own done.

Does anyone have any leads?

Maybe just a well trusted printer that you often use who might know more?

The ones I saw at this exhib. were A1-A0... really impressive at that size!
I don't assume most people have the necessary equipment for that and without even asking I am certain a place like ORMS would bumrape for a print that size.

Google for results in SA does yield some places/people offering the service, I guess I'll just shop around a bit, would be great if someone could recommend a place they have had a good experience with - otherwise I'll try a few and update this thread myself

The Orms pricing for inkjet prints is very steep but knowing what we spend at work on our various plotters, I can see why. I personally prefer the lightjet prints that they do which are about half the price before discounts (http://www.orms.co.za/services.php?service=23).

I know of a bunch of guys in Cape Town based at Groote Schuur Hospital - They print just about anything on anything. Seen some amazing images done on canvas etc.

Not sure where you based. But if you need i can dig out there number. No idea re cost.
