I was about to buy the Copilot app for myself and sell my tomtom, well now i can sell my tomtom and have money left for a beer.
I still am a Nokia fanboi - looking forward to Anna and then Belle upgrades coming to my N8. But when I upgrade in January I am not sure what to take and I have my doubts on how well Nokia will pull off the Windows Phone 7 thing.
Maybe call me a more realistic Nokia [-]fanboi[/-] supporter?
With google rolling out this kind of navigation on Android it is pretty sure Nokia will have to spark with Ovi Maps on WP7
Same here, almost bought CoPilot last night. Tell me is there a way to download the Google Maps to the phone first so one can still use navigation in an area without reception?

In Maps goto Menu -> Labs, and Enable Pre Cached Map Area.
Then the area you want to load just Long press on the map and go more options, and select Preload Area. It will preload a 16KM/10 Mile radius from the highlighted section, or you could plan a ruite and preload the map data for the route.

Just ensure you have the current version from market.

I've precached a few areas, like most of Joburg/Pretoria, Durban and surrounds, and CT. My problem is that, this weekend I'm driving down to Durbs. I cant cache the route from Joburg to Durbs because its too big. So now what? I guess it will have to use 3G the whole down to get the maps it needs. Need to buy a car holder for my phone though, what I have noticed is that my phone acquires a GPS lock far quicker than my TomTom, and can even do so under several layers of concrete.
Funny how excited I am right now, having it legally!!!
/me starting up Navigation to go buy a copy of Windows 7.

I'm sorry, am I missing something? This has been available for ages already...
Impressive. What kinda phone do you have?
This is great news. Been waiting for this feature. I didn't know you could hack it before.
