Do they have a rep here?

Service to date has been abominable. Seeking support has been nothing short of a waste of both time and money. :wtf:

Phrased another way: MBB peeps please recommend an alternative host.

Personally I'd recommend Domains.co.za, Hostking, Webspacebar or Elitehost.
 
Thanks [MENTION=62071]Solitude[/MENTION], will consider those. Really am ***vol of 1-Grid and their – quite literally – non-existent service.
 
They finally broke my last straw today, moved every single one of my clients to another host. They are utterly useless, i guess they should re-brand again to sucker in some other unsuspecting customers.

Cancelled debit order too with the bank, let them keep sending me payment reminders.

Good riddance
 
Didn't they rebrand now as 1-grid. Amazing how they changes names to escape their pathetic past. Who owns this useless company.

WebAfrica bought Gridhost some time ago, and then recently rebranded as 1-Grid for hosting and kept WebAfrica for internet connectivity.
 
^ Partially correct. WebAfrica bought Gridhost a couple of years ago and then sold off to new owners this year. The new owners rebranded to 1-Grid.

Didn't know they sold off. Know what happened to the other businesses they owned? Did they just sell everything off to the European lot?

AFAIK they sold to German guys. Not sure about the other businesses, presumably it just became part of the same company which is now 1Grid.

Gridhost billing not good
Received an invoice which I paid
Same day received another invoice for same amount, same period but a different number. They maintain I must pay?
Also notice on accounts summary that a payment made on 2nd January 2019 is still showing as outstanding
 
It's such a mission impossible to have my services cancelled on my account. I submitted 2 cancellation requests earlier this year. The first one was closed for no reasons. The 2nd one closed immediately. I'm still paying for the services that we no longer need to use. I'm being scammed.

Avoid doing business with 1-grid at all costs. Same with WebAfrica. THey are probably run by the same dodgy people who don't give a schit about treating clients with respect.
 
If you are looking at trying out a new host give us a shout, we just deployed a new server and "Operation VIP Club" for busier sites which includes your very own personal technician - on call 24/7/365/as long as there's coffee.
We want to know what you guys want in a host and make it happen, you may now ring the "shame" bell for shilling on myBB :p - https://exclusiveweb.co.za/

I can vouch for these guys. Give them a shot if you're looking for a host or are struggling with your current provider. Service is unbelievable, really.
