These fuxking losers came to my place today, spent 3 hours and eish, they found the problem is with their side. I told them before, WTF problem do I have here if it was all working and suddently just not working anymore. Fortunately I am on ADSL now, told my dad to get ADSL too, I will keep my CPE as I paid for it and join WUG when I have a chance.

All WUG admins are on high alert, and are green for go! :D

Apparently the new agreement is with Megasurf.

I would'nt get to excited just yet. Just had a look at some of Megasurf's posts and can't say I am filled with confidence. Looks like another 2 bit operator touting for business

I saw those posts, there were like 3 posts, and no complaints. Unlike screamer/gwi with several hundred posts / complaints.

So the guy tried to promote his business in these forums. Big deal.

With the economy the way it is do you blame him? A bit of free advertising won't hurt anyone.

And on top of that its an opportunity for possible comment/criticism. If someone sees his "ad" here and gets crappy service we are sure to find out about it ( as with GWI/SCREAMER) so the it goes both ways.:D

Sorry but I'm in a good mood this morning.(My team's playing in the final tomorrow you see.)

Since I've been having so much *%# with my connection, Screamer has decided to upgrade my service to licensed spectrum.

They are in the process of upgrading the network in my area as well, so I am waiting to see if service is going to improve.

Both Screamer and the local agent (AMAX) has been very helpfull as of late.:D

No service since yesterday evening. I'm not even going to call support as I'm sure the lightning will get the blame.

Mind you, not even the mighty multichoice was saved from the weather.

Had lots of friends phone me to ask if my dstv has also gone out during the game.:D

Well what other "licensed spectrums" are there?:D

WiMax is just a technology.
Just because you have licensed spectrum, doesn't mean you're using WiMax.
But for proper WiMax, you will need licensed spectrum (2.5Ghz, 2.6Ghz, 3.5Ghz, 3.6Ghz)

They say it'll be 2.5Ghz.

I just don't know if it's worth it. Maybe they'll let me test drive it first?

But I'd love te experience broadband that really works.:D

U must just love the crappy excuses u get from there guys. Then it's this tower and then that one. Guys plain and simple this company really sucks. I don't know alot about wireless but i know when someone is talking a bunch of crap and don't know a thing. Gwisa / Screamer was not so bad 6 months ago but now it's a waist of office space.
HOLY CRAP I HAD TO DO WRITE THE POST TWICE, the connection died again.

Ohh and a another thing why did they change there name 2 times in the last 3 years.
Looks like they are trying to run away from there bad crappy reputation and make a whole new crappy one.

And yes, not without reason. But lately I have found them much more accommodating.

When you have a problem with your service, take it up with the local agent. Make sure you have your facts straight.

Name calling releases frustration but when you call someone a "masterbater" (?) he's much less inclined to try and sort your problem out. But I understand the feeling. The point is, try and be decent when voicing your complaint.

And be persistent. Don't stop moaning and bitching until your getting the service you are paying for. It’s your right.

It has been a long journey with GWI and a rocky one at that. But at last something is being done now and I am optimistic that it'll have a positive outcome.

If you don't get joy from whomever you've been speaking to then speak to his boss. I often felt like driving to Lonehill. But voicing complaints on a forum like this is sometimes the last/only way of getting the right attention.

Hopefully I'll soon be totally sorted out. Can't wait.:D

Well Rebel998 THE CONNECTION SUCKS and they said Thursday it will be fixed on Friday.

I have been with GWI for 2 years and the last 6months was a real pain in the ass.

I see in you previous posts u connect to the wonderboom1 tower (Same as me)

These guys don’t care about any of there customers and the service they provide only the buck they can make out of u.
