Hey hey, I'm not positive about the hardware, the model number etc.. and its 4 meters up on a pole on my roof, so I cant check lol, but this is what I observed from when they installed it. It came in a box labelled "Poynting", the router software they used to access it was called Winbox 2.9. I looked it up, its Mikrotik software. It's the only way to access the router, 192.168.0.1 in a browser does not work, but I downloaded the Winbox software and managed to connect to it. I also saw that the unit has an ISACA sticker on it with a licence number. I've had the connection on a nice Bandwidth monitor, with daily logs, and average Upload and Download rates etc, for 12 days now, my bandwidth monitor is showing 12.05gb. Thats 8.11 down and 3.94 up. I was getting an average of 800mb down and 200mb up per day for the first 9 days or so, with some days being less because I was gaming on SAIX (Battlefield 2 gets a 50-150mx ping in the daytime, at night punkbuster kicks me off for over 400ms ping). Yesterday I left utorrent on for the full 24 hours, and in that period my Download was 1.12gb and Upload was 1.10gb. 2.22gb total in 24 hrs. So at the maximum one could theorectically could do 60gb of traffic a month? The only worry I have is that with my usage it's gonna become unaffordable for them to continue this uncapped service lol. Am I over using? But then they shouldn't call it uncapped should they?
