Yip... There are 960's for selling more. One could easily sell the ssd for R700 and make up some cash, bringing the 970's price close to 3k. If I had the cash I would have bought this in a heartbeat. The 970 is a spectacular card, and for that price...

Thinking of getting this, but not sure if Ill make use of it - not a gamer but wanted to use it a rendering machine using lumion. but just bought 970m lappie a few months ago as well.
 
What fps will a 970 achieve in BF4 with everything on max at 1080p?

I was tempted by the RX480, GTX1060 and GTX1070, but I do like saving money ...

On ultra, average would be over 60fps but minimum might dip below here and there.

At those prices, in terms of price vs performance the GTX 970 seems to come out ahead of the RX 470. I am certainly tempted...

So at around R3,800 minus selling my R9 270X and the 120 GB SSD it's will cost me around R1,500 which will double my GPU performance.

Rather tempting ...

But I'm still keen on the 1070.
 
Wow, prices for 970s are really tanking. I feel sorry for people who bought these cards a month or two ago. Some people on carb still trying to sell these at 5k.
 
I've got the ZOTAC mini 1060 from GTX Gaming and am running The Witcher 3 at full ultra - my bottleneck is my 60hz screen :)
