R799 is a good price - I just wouldn't buy another one. I currently have one that is maybe a year old and it mounts on my mac for about 2 minutes before it stops reading. Maybe I'm just bitter...

It depends on how important your data is. Is R50 a good deal for the drive if it fails within a year?
