Has Rain gotten slower for you?

Off-peak 2 - 4mbps
Peak 20mbps+ easily

To add to this, ran a speedtest this morning at 4a.m and maxed out at 4mbps with me being the only one connected.

It got better for me from Jan (new towers in area). Then after PTA storm two weeks back system went down. Long story short I was told it was not the storm but they were "configuring" network. Before I was running in high 400Mbps once it went back online this past weekend mid 200's.

Hey there,

I have been using rain from 2018 and i haven't had too many issues with them, usually i just had speed issues during the day. At night i always had between 30-60mbps daily. As of late i have been getting terrible speeds during both day and night and i have no clue why.
It started when the new 24/7 deal was released so that might have something to do with it, below is a speedtest i just did.

I have the exact same problem. I have been with them since Dec 2017. My reception isn't great but i used to regularly get 13-17Mbps. The last 3 months though i almost cannot use the internet during the day. Their response is that its my bad reception causing the problem but its clearly changing by time.

No network coverage in East London since this morning

My Rain internet is struggling a lot this morning. Lost signal a few times this morning already.

I have been watching my internet like a hawk since yesterday morning and things seem back to normal on my end too.

Rain has dropped the ball for me thou, used to get 60mbps now I’m down to 8-10. Netflix is unstable streaming between 480p and 720p when it feels like it. Must say Vodacom seems to work fine...
If you have Windows 10, download the Netflix app and install. Log in to Netflix, now you will have the option to download a Movie or Series and watch later! I download during the day and watch at night when 'mummy" is watching her soapies....HEAVEN.

Still broken for me:
DL: 0.73 Mbps
UL: 0.69 Mbps

Been exactly like this since Sunday, tried changing frequencies and restarting etc.

About a week ago I was easily getting 20mbps up to 30mbps on youtube videos (viewed through YT vid debug info and stats), now I barely get 4mbps and can only watch in 720p which is not a bad thing but doing anything else while watching will reduce the speed badly. Another thing is downloads, I could easily download 3GB in less than 10 minutes but now it's taking upwards of 2 hours. I would assume it's the increase in demand from people that are staying at home because of the virus but I'm not very happy about it. I was stuck on 2mbps telkom adsl for a long time and finally when I get fast internet which I accepted for only 19 hours a day, I'm back to square one.

Weird thing happening my side is at times my internet jumps up to 4-5MBs then drops back down to 2mbits and below. No idea why

Mine has been behaving today - I am so afraid to speak anything in the atmosphere to jinx things and be under lock down without a connection. A family friend on the other side of the province is not having the same luck. Infact they are calling me saying they have been struggling with connection but today has been the worst.

Man I'm sad.

I got Rain 5G to replace my Vodacom fibre. Vodacom fibre was unusable in the evenings and I couldn't get any support.

Rain 5G is perfectly fine during the day. Come night time and I get constant disconnects and slow speed. In the mornings I get 130 Mbps and in the evenings under 10. The worst is the constant disconnects though. It kind of looks like I have signal but there's just no throughput. So I can't game online at all because it just disconnects all the time.

I just don't know how to get proper internet without moving to a different house. It's all just so frustrating.

Unfortunately tonight again. It was working perfectly until about 8:15pm and then I just lost all connection. I don't know if it's congestion or what causes it but at night it's unusable. Especially the upload it looks like when I do a speed test.

For about half an hour I had no connection at all. Couldn't load sites, even after restarting. At some point I had better signal than ever before but it was just dead. It's working now again but it's very slow.

Was supposed to be an online league race tonight but can't connect to the servers.

Mine is better today. Was at 14mbps all morning. This is now.

Lucky you I can't stay connected long enough to do a speed test
