It is even stated on their website. So if you are expecting the R250 experience at R479 for 24hrs. Put that idea on lockdown and forget about it. Speeds were half decent last I checked. But yea expect a maximum of 10mbps up and down. Did a test this morning with the R250 uncapped sim and speeds were back to the good ol days. And all this even without using a VPN.

If they could give me a solid 10mbps all the time that would be enough for me. Barely get that now.

Will get back with a test on the R479 package. - Here you go

Speeds are ohk - the issue is the shaping of youtube and netflix on this particular package.

Rain has been pumping today. No idea what changed as they been useless for almost a week now.
I'm also on the R250 package. After this morning's initial signal drops I've been getting speeds consistently between 15 and 25 Mbps.

Well done rain - where have you been hiding this additional spectrum.

Still pretty unusable here in Durban, tried on a B618 as well, same result.

Has been unusable for me since this morning. Just changed to Telkom. Looks like Rain might have a congestion problem because everyone is sitting at home.

Over the last few months I've have issues during the day, after 6pm to early mornings it's great (20-30mbps) then it gradually slows down to dial up speeds during the day. Of course, I expect a service that works 24/7 not only in the morning or evenings.

So your problem is basically the opposite of mine.

If torrents are the problem, it's not hard for them to throttle or even block p2p traffic.

My specific issue is most likely tower related, a friend up the road has been experiencing the same issue as I have.

Rain internet has been terrible for me the last few days. Speeds are bad. At least we had some real good rain today (the wet kind)

I'm glad to say that my connection is much better tonight. Didn't drop once.

I see Rain tried to phone me but I missed the call. At least Trucaller says it's Rain, which is interesting. Man I hope it can continue being good.
