Pretty sure it is a congested tower, I can barely use rain during the day on the tower near me too while at my cousins house I get full speed all dayHi Guys, apologies if I am posting this in the wrong forum. I have 2 Rain Sim cards, one Unlimited Off Peak and one 4G Uncapped 24/7 which was recently upgraded from Unlimited Off Peak. The 4G Uncapped 24/7 was used in a Huawei B315 Router in Atok, a small town in Limpopo and tested 10 mbps up and 10 mbps down. I was there for a week for work. Now when I got back to Polokwane the speeds dropped to 0.5 down and 0.2 up. I tried to put the card in my Samsung S8 which has always given me with the Unlimited Off Peak card 80mbps+ at the exact location, also showing me a speed test of maybe 1 down and 0.5 up. We tested this with the 4G Uncapped 24/7 card and got exactly the same 0.5 down and 0.2 up. Now my question is, how can this be the almost none existent speeds I get in Polokwane, when I get 10 mbps in a small town. Is the towers I connect to congested or what can the problem be? I have taken the issue up with Rain and still awaiting their reply. Thank you.

There is no way to actually fix it unless they put up more towers near you which isnt likely, i'm waiting for lockdown to end for my speeds to hopefully go back to normal. I have tons of tickets and nobody have been able to assist since the support have no clue what's going on at all, all they say is there is nothing wrong on their side.Thank you, I also think this is tower related, I just hope they fix this soon as we are paying for a service we cannot use. Yes, maybe after the lockdown has ended, things will get back to normal. I don't think Rain made provision for the amount of people connecting to the same towers now that they stay and work from home. The network simply cannot take all the strain. on top of that they are still selling tons of 4G sims and 5G packages. I also have lots of open tickets.
