Yeah just a pitty it had a bolt that was holding it in it's place, I know this how... a month before I had the car at Battery center and the guy complaint it was turn to tight.

Lol. I had a similar experience with Automate.
I hate these mechanics.

WTF, did they use a jackhammer on the engine???
These guys are like the Let Me "Repair" of the motor industry.

I'm glad this post was posted - I never saw the original post.

I have a vehicle that nobody seems able to repair - I have spent thousands on it and now it simply stands in my driveway gathering dust. I was talking to a colleague about it and he had had exactly the same issues as I had with my car. He recommended Car Service City to me, said that after everybody else had messed him around he took his car to them and they immediately worked out the actual problem. They did a full work-down of his vehicle to identify all the problems, free of charge. Gave him a report with all the issues and the quotes for repairs on those issues, free of charge. He eventually had it repaired with them too and they cost him far less than any other place would have cost, and the vehicle is back in perfect condition.

I was about to contact them to arrange for my vehicle to get checked out by them and hopefully repaired, but I would have gone to the Centurion branch because it's close to where I live. My colleague went to a branch in Joburg. Now I'll be making another plan instead.

This is really bad, I do hope you come right!

I've posted a link to this thread on carforums.co.za, quite a few people on there in the industry so I thought their feedback would be valuable.

3. Sometimes, at some point in your work in any given workshop, a bystander will see what looks like chaos, but that stuff has been lying around like that for a while. No excuse, I'm gobsmacked that the franchise holder palmed it straight off to the RMI without attempting some form of intervention.

I'll agree with you that average joe should not see the inside of a car workshop because it's like open heart surgery on a human and it's not pretty. Besides that I still think this oke got screwed over royally!

I'm just hopin he can get his car restored to running condition but that looks like a pipe dream right now. In all honesty I reckon I could do a better job.

Can't believe [redacted] & Headoffice would give you such terrible service.

Are they threatening to sue him or are they offering to settle?

By request from the OP.

Why? Did he get threats or what? Are there something more we should know? We should use this forum to expose all the robbing assh@les out there. That's a community service requirement!

The OP was contacted by lawyers, hence the reason to remove the name.

Speaks volumes about a company when they send legal threats rather than apologies...

Haha

Typical response, and what does it get the offending company? MORE bad PR, morons

Hopefully they'll be sorting out the OP's car in exchange for taking their name out the thread. Otherwise we're just bending over for the school bully.

I'm sure if it's not resolved the name can go back in. LOL @ the fact that ************** is more noticable. Car Service City would have attracted a lot less attention.

Exactly, i hope we keep this thread bumped so they get what they deserve :D

Agreed, I wouldn't have noticed Car Service City as much as **************.
